Screw the delicately machined adaptor plate and splined coupling, a piece of wood, and 2" of hose with a clamp, is perfectly sufficient to convert your car to an EV. Even the indian DIY EV conversions around TH-cam are put to shame.
Only oil leaks, everything else is ok to run without shafts. Gearbox was hard to move and I really needed to check if it will break in before mounting on the car
Hi. It was simply most convenient motor I had on the shelf to test gearbox after rebuild. Paired with inverter it has performed quite nicely. Obviously its power output would be only enough to get golf buggy rolling ;)
I think it was 4kw 3 phase motor controlled by danfoss inverter at the time. But I'm sure 1kw single phase would be ok as well as long as You reach over 2000rpm
@@archiparrana1662 hi.. it surely will but the purpose of this setup was just to test gearbox after recon and before mounting it on the car. Gearbox is good for over 100KW so motor is only using 2% of its capability not to mention temporary frame which would of course not carry even that
dude !!
I have the same Idea about doing this to my Taco but with big dual electric motors instead of the 1GR
completely awesome
How much torque it produces

Well it wasn't a conversion. Just a test of a gearbox after being repaired
@@Baatory Sorry for sounding disrespectfull, when trying to be funny!
@@Tore_Lund ah no worries I've got slow sense of humour:)
just had mine reconditioned and its great now weird getting ise to a new box rather then a sloppy old 1 so to speak!

Why did you use ac motor?

@@Baatory good day did that transmission increases the torque the motor please thank u.
