I heard it was originally planned nine was gonna grow out the hand instead of another ten but guess he turned it down or something, Imagine Nine Ten and The DoctorDonna all in one room.
And this is why I love 10 and Donna, they play off each other perfectly! It is a whole brother/sister sort of relationship and yet, out of all 10's companions, Donna will always be my favorite, this is what a companion SHOULD be, a best friends sort of thing not a love interest.
@@marcovchb One of the nice things about the classic series was the different relationships the Doctor had with his companions. Elderly head of the family (1), bonkers uncle (2), father figure (3), tutor (3 & 4), best pal (4), out of his depth trainee teacher (5), etc.
@@marcovchb It's sad, generally, because The Doctor generally doesn't return their feelings. 9 and 10 arguably loved Rose, and 11 loved Clara and River. I do appreciate how Doctor/Companion relationships can change. 10 was wary of Jack at first, and 12 didn't have the same feelings for Clara that 11 did.
Donna: Oi! Doctor: Oi! I adore the music that plays between Donna and the Doctor (their joined theme, I suppose?), it just amplifies how great this scene is.
This made me laugh SO much. Donna: "Oi, watch it, spaceman!" Doctor: "Oi, watch it, Earth-girl!" On another note, Rose holding The Doctor's hand was one of the sweetest moments in the series. Beautiful.
This is a terrific insurance policy made by Russell T. Davies for the BBC. For decades to come, the clone of arguably the most popular Doctor ever can keep reappearing in specials AND his ever advancing age will make sense, because this 'Doctor' only has one face and one life.
It's a reference to when they first met and he said she was not special when he was trying to work out why she was getting beamed through space and kidnapped by robot Santas.
Am I the only one who REALLY wants to see footage from the scene read-throughs for Donna and the Meta-crisis Doctor? Catherine and David must have been amazing! :) They slay me with that scene!
Kind of funny to think Rose lived happily ever after with the Doctor Donna. I bet the meta crisis Doctor teases her about how devoted she is 2 him in a Donna way of speaking. I'd watch that show
The doctor and rose standing awfully close when the camera panned back on them.....sigh* those two forever...I ship her with any doctor because they are meant to be... fans self*
i disagree its not contrived if its done correctly and their's was. It was two people who found each other when they both needed each other. I've officially decided in my mind that Rose and the human Doctor are happily married with kids (and Rose's parents are thrilled), and that they have tea with Martha, Mickey, and Captain Jack all the time. They also check up on Donna, never saying hello. Martha and Mickey still hunt aliens together, Jack is still the leader of Torchwood, and the human Doctor has built himself a little make-shift Tardis in their backyard with a telescope that Rose often finds him in.
