Not quite. It means rearranged. The term being used to refer to extreme difficulty comes from the rom hack “kaizo mario” which happened to have extremely difficult levels

Dam Nestalgia: 341-0CG-DMF - Its the dam level from TMNT
Nestalgiabusters: GLF-X1W-5Wg - The final level of Ghostbusters
On the Mario level I can get hear the "ASS!" in James' frustration grunts.

ive spent more time making levels than playing them. then I post my level code to streamers on twitch and watch them play it live on stream. fun times

I always enjoy these episodes where they play modern day video games. James and Mike are from the old school days of gaming like NES and stuff, and even though he may not say it, it's always interesting to wonder what might be going through their minds. I mean they were kids playing simple 8 bits games...did they ever think it would become this in the future?...

Mario Maker games are epic Mario games. Game has it's own levels, players can crate levels and with those level making tools, they can also crate a whole games.
I would like to see an AVGN episode on just this level. Just the nerd getting pissed off and trying to succeed on this level. Also. I can watch you both play this all day. Probably my favorite James and Mike episode

I've been using my 8bitdo for a lot of my PC games and emulators. I even tried it on my nephew's Switch and it's REALLY GOOD!
Anybody who games on PC, Switch, or Raspberry Pi should get one. It's my favorite gamepad now.

This game wasn't 100% Nintendo's idea. Romhacks were taking off on video and streaming services, and Nintendo took the idea of them and made it legitimate.
Some people like seeing them play bad games, but good games are my fave on JMM
