I’ve found that within a week of wrapping my hair every night, my natural sebum has coated my strands. It’s the scalp and hait’s natural moisturizer (IMO). I don’t add any products on my hair after wash day. I don’t like my hair to be weighed down. I roll or wrap my hair every night. When it gets longer, I’ll probably pin curl it instead. I’ve preserved my styles this way for 30 years. I’ve never experienced breakage.
Your hair looks shinier and more moisturised since your 'i ruined my hair video'. I honestly didnt see anything 'wrong' before but now i actually see what you meant. Hair is giving doll!
Glad you’re not afraid of moisturizing, I’m kind of sick of hearing people talking about their hair being weighed down. Can’t relate to caring about that tbh, I’d rather my hair be moisturized
Are you from South Africa? I learned to do this in the 90s when it was the style. Stylists would wrap our hair while it was wet and sit us under the dryer. They’d take it down and curl it. We’d wrap it at night. At the Dominion salons, they rollerset the hair, then wrap it. I think that’s called a Doobie.
@@michelleej yes i am from Siuth Africa. And i grew up doing a rollerset first and then just using the blowdryer and a rounbtush to straighten it. And then use the legpart of the pantyhose and wrapping the hair every night ill its wash day. And the style would stay fresh. I am still doing the same thing!! I saw on youtube that the Dominican way is basically how the Colored people of South Africa would do our hair.
Turn the satin wrap inside out so the thread line wouldn't leave a print in your hair. And when wrapping comb as much hair from the center to the front then brush around.
After relaxing with Mizani, do you only use mizani products for taking care of it? I relaxed my afro with dark n lovely once and switched to mizani and used the h20 rose daily and my hair just started to fall. Not sure what to do next.
Hey Tshego, I went back to rewatch the hair product faves video to look for product ideas and found that you'd taken it down. Will you be refilming it? I am restarting my haircare product collection and I need some serious inspo
