And the funniest thing is, a legitimate Fallout 4 leak actually happened a few weeks after that ARG got concluded, and nobody cared because it was presumed to be another fake.

With all the recent leaks I want to believe it's an ARG. But I doubt it's for hl3 or even an official one. I think the game they work on is rather another prequel. Like Half-Life Xen because of the xen stuff leaked. And a Black Mesa ARG would also make sense
I think it stands to reason that we could go back to Xen in a prequel or a sequel. I don't think mentions of Xen rule out half life 3.

I do agree the logo is too similar for it to be coincidence, but calling the code part 'lambda incident' isn't that unusual I'd say. I personally named some of my functions quite weird stuff. one for example is actually headcrab

Even though this isn't have anything to do with actual half-life, I really enjoy the fact that a group of engineers who loved half-life a lot decided to make an actual black mesa with a similar field of engineering. I personally think this "countdown" is to a large announcement for the company that is lovingly codenamed "lambda incident"
