I gathered at the time that a room without a carpet had been arranged for Piero because of his allergies, but this had been ignored. Very, very bad service from the hotel. This should have been top priority for any visitor, whoever they were.
He said there was a smell of dust when he went in, 11pm, and there was a carpet, and he had allergy, and he asked for another room but hotel was full. He said room (air) was dirty (sporco), and so he slept with window open. That way he got relief.
And in morning, he said something to hotel --- I didn't catch that bit. That's what I heard so far.

It breaks my heart that the boys should have to defend themselves, and be attacked so rudely, and for so long. Anyone who knows anything about Ignazio, Gianluca and Piero knows that the accusations are ridiculous. I wish they had just said "People who know us better, know better" and left. They are too good to be put through that interrogation. Shame to those people! And to the jealous liars at the hotel who had to have a famous moment at the cost of the boys beautiful reputation.
