It seems strange in many ways that this idea of consent and what it really means seems to have become so relevant today"...as if this is not something which should have been thinking and discussing for decades...or as long as human civilisations have been around.Also in terms of the law and how it deals with cases of rape or sexual assault...it seems very sad to me that this is an issue which has only recently become so relevant"and which still is not being dealt with or properly addressed in schools and work places and public spaces everywhere. Also I am not talking just about sexual consent but consent generally in terms of how we negotiate our public lives and respect one anothers boundaries..even with things like marketing and the how companies or workplaces are able to extract things from us we may not fully consent to or be fully informed about
