All three shoes do have a similar look. But I would say they are different enough. They want us to have options. The new drop is definitely the best colorway of the three. I would get them. I passed on the other two pairs. So I don't mind the drop and I appreciate having options to pick from as apposed to not having enough options and feeling like they don't drop enough. Just my opinion

Thanks for the video. Glad someone else copped these on the shockdrop. I noticed the similarities to those others also, but I do wish you would make a Jordan 1 High comparison video where you not only review the differences in the pre-L&F to the newer ones, but also compare both to the High 85's and show some of the other variations in all the Jordan 1's. Like how some shoes are higher than others, some tongues are a little wider or fatter, and how much difference there is in the toebox shape and width on certain shoes. I know i am not the only one who notice that sometimes the toe shape is really sloped and other times it is more straight up. For instance, my UNC Toe and Palomino 1's have a wider toe than the Luck Green and the Washed Black. Also if you have multiple pairs of each shoe, you could show how the materials are sometimes different and even on a single pair the left and right shoe might look way different from each other. Anyway I appreciate your dedication to reviewing these pairs and it is refeshing to see that not everybody thinks that "1's are dead."

I feel like jb knows how much we appreciate the buttery tumbled look on 1s especially. And we dont get it enough. They gotta stop making them look like mids quality I wanna see shattered backboard kinda leather. Or atleast some tumble. Alot of these color ways look tacky when the white leather isnt good quality. Like solid white midpanels with no character make ones look as cheap as dunks and mids.
Trust when I say shattered backboard 1s quality is overrated
Finally a plain burgundy 1. Looks the best out of all of them and super easy to get. Wish you would have put them next to those L&F. I wanted to see the different color shade.

I passed on all three of the shock drops. I am open to picking them up on sale but I do not feel the need to purchase any of those at full price for a few reasons:
1. I own the AJ1 Bordeaux and I still haven’t worn them.
2. The Green Glow AJ1 will be difficult to wear and I think I prefer the AJ3 coming out a little more.
3. There are other shoes that are out that I want more than any of these three. The first would be the AJ5 Olive (waiting on the price to come down). The second would be the AJ9 Columbia Blue.

Nothing beat a Chicago color blocking… maybe bred toe color blocking 🔥 but you don’t have the Bordeaux these are a good alternative

Amazing review. You hit all the points on this. Either Jordan brand is lazy or greedy or could be both . All three colourway are too similar to release consecutively. A Chicago colourblocking would have increased demand for the shoe. This will deffo sit. It feels like half of Jordan new releases will just sit. I am not sure if it’s a tax write off or they just have to chuck a certain amount of stuff out but half of what they have been putting or more has been lazy boring too expensive or poor and quality. On the other hand it’s worth mentioning accessibility now is great for what you want. Copped the aj4 bred reimagined without too much stress.
On another note, it would be great if you could compare the new Jordan 1 highs retooled versus old pairs .
I definitely noticed the tongue to the side slippage which I used to find irritating. Glad it’s fixed
I personally feels like the quality has been better since last year than it’s was 2020 and 2021 when the shoes were selling out, it’s maybe a sneaker fatigue

@@JasonGKicks See my reply to this very point. Years or months in between doesn’t matter. This has always been their business model. The shoe frame can only go so far with differences. It was designed to be simple and versatile. Just so much you can do with it. That being said they will continue to release shades and slight material changes that don’t really differ in looks. We will continue to buy it because we love the shows and they know it. So why break what isn’t broken, so to speak
I see the difference. I think it is getting closer like the 85. Look at the Nike swoosh bigger maybe just the quality ain’t all that but getting closer plus the tongue it’s right now. It ain’t like doesn’t go to the side.

We absolutely did not need these shoes. This is a rip off of the Metallic Burgundy 1s. Jordan really just likes to see how many people get tricked into dropping $180 for the same colorways

I actually prefer these over the metallic burgundy 1s. The burgundy color just goes well with the storm blue colorblocking plus you can most likely get these way below retail a few months after release. Aside from the black toe 1s im either getting these or the navy 1s releasing later this year.
