- Let me tell you a story about two sons that had the chance to fly.
"Icarus" is an eerily catchy ballad that twists the Greek myth of Icarus with the Scriptural account of Jesus tempted in the wilderness. I hope you guys like this little tune. :)

Wow, truly amazing. It is such an interesting take on the gospel story as well. I can't help but shudder and get a bit of goosebumps at the reality that Jesus was abandoned by His father when he was crucified. No, He couldn't just summon angels to save him, He couldn't turn His skin to steel to prevent them from wounding Him, and He couldn't grow wings and fly away. He needed to die because without His death, we wouldn't have salvation, eternal life and a bridge towards a relationship with God. His wings were taken away and He bled just like us. And after His death and resurrection, He sat atop His throne as the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Wings restored, He smiles down on us, knowing that the children of God will also have wings to fly. To fly above this world and all its suffering, and reach a place called Home, a place called Heaven...God bless..

I never saw similarities between the story of Deadalus' wings and Christ's temptation in the desert before. Super creative!! Phenomenal job, keep up the awesome work.

This song tells two stories. One story is about a son that exalted himself and was humbled. The other story is about a Son (Jesus!) that humbled Himself and was exalted! It’s to point to Christ’s humility and our need for Him. Hope that makes any sense? Thanks for listening!
