***** You would need a special mic if you wanted binaural audio (3D sound like the voice is around your head), but for most ASMR videos, any mic should work. A laptop mic might not have very good sound quality though, so if you want better sound you could always buy a cheaper mic -- The Blue Yeti and Zoom H1 are some great quality mics for around 100 bucks.
