MJ’s vocals are phenomenal during this performance nobody could sing like this man MJ Is The Greatest Vocalist Of All Time! Not to mention he was singing LIVE! For damn near 2 Decades straight at this point so you wonder why during his later Tours he needed to give his voice rest btw you should probably listen to the Record before the Live performance it’s a huge difference it’ll give you a better vibe before watching the performance✍🏽👑🔥✨💯)
This was for Victory but Michael said no to put it on the album (this and Escape From The Planet Of Ant Men were written for Victory but placed on Jermaine's Dynamite album)
Let me just say this because I don't think the Jacksons get enough credit for it. Their harmonies were low key legendary. On Michael's solo tours (BAD, Dangerous, History), his back up singers were always missing something. His brothers knew how to compliment him like no one else. This is also how Michael learned how to understand vocal harmonies and could point out missing melodies when someone in the band was failing to recognize their part. He didn't have to do that with his brothers.
Facts, this is my favorite tour that he's done cuz i like how the brothers sing his solo hits with him. Jermaine even singing some lines to ad lib mj during them like in Billie Jean. They also smoked the intro/outro falsetto harmonies during off the wall.
I've been a Michael fan, and anything to do with michael, since I was 9 years old, um that makes it 45 years. I seen this concert live in the summer of 1984. It so hard to explain the impact Thriller had all over the world. Michael was everywhere! And when there was a premiere of a video or like Motown 25, everybody was talking about it the day after. There will never ever be another artist like Michael, they can try but there will never be another Michael!
That live performance did not do the song justice. Please listen to the arrangement and vocals on the album by Jermaine Jackson. Early Jackson songs foretold the greatness of Michael Jackson's vocals. Songs to Check out... "Enjoy Yourself", "Show You the Way to Go", "Good Times", "Even Though You're Gone", "Find Me a Girl", "Push Me Away", "Destiny", "Time Waits for No One", "That's What You Get (For Being Polite)", "Can You Feel It", "State of Shock" (with Mick Jagger)
This song, State of Shock (Michael Jackson and MIck Jagger), Body (Marlon as the lead singer) and Centipede (Rebe Jackson) were/are my favorite songs from 1984.
Hi Angela wasn't particularly crazy about this performance but Michael made it better. Robert Palmer did a good remake of this song if you want to check it out.
This song was off of Jermaine Jacksons album "Dynamite". So michael sang duet with his older brother. MRS. Angela you have no reaction to Prince's Song. How about to "little Red Corvette" video. I loved both artist. Michael and Prince but prince tended to be more sexually motoviated than Michael. So as An adolescent boy he more appealed to me. Not that i wasn't a michael Fan but as a young man i was more into the ladies like prince! Please some reaction to prince videos and live performances and you would see why. Mrs. Angela you are truly breath taking and i love your spirit too. I fully support your channel and enjoy your takes. So continue to shine. Beautiful!!😊
Sorry not sorry but Jermaine singing live for this was horrible. Mike took over this man's song like he owned it, even in the recorded ablum version, it sounded like it was Michael's song lol.

Hello person from seph plays comment section
This was not a Jackson record, it was a Jermaine Jackson record featuring Michael.. Original version is from the "Dynamite" album by Jermaine.

Mike was jammin on this joint. He really brings this mid song to life.

Why did you do the live version?
Tell Im not dreamin...
The live version isn't as good as the studio version IMO
the version from Jermaine album is better
You drunk
Average song to be honest. Love The Jacksons music.
Kind of a throw away tune, and I never cared for all his little grunts and pops, too many, too often, too much.
We don’t care what you think
Jermaine was trying to be like Mj wit that 💀
What do you care about?
@@mrs.jackson5872 Not really....🤪
This song was #1 on dance charts and heavy national airplay
