I always thought i was samoan/tuvaluan on my dad side but recently found my grandmother was full blood samoan & grandfather wasnt samoan at all but tuvaluan and tokelauan so watching this makes gave a sense of pride knowing i have another beautiful culture that runs in mine and my kids veins

Back in 2001 we move to Atafu to look for my dads family from the lineage of Malamā 😭 we move back 2003 to Samoa and a lot of good memories in the islands ❤️❤️❤️ from Sosopo and Saileles family we send our love Atafu. My ancestors are from Atafu, I am Tongan from the Western most village of Tongatapu - Ha'atafu. Many many many generations ago my ancestors moved to Tonga and established my village Ha'atafu, named after their atoll island of 'Atafu. Our chief's name is Ngalu, Its alleged that this was also a title/name of a chief from Atafu - Tokelau.. I wouldn't know, theres no evidence to prove this unfortunately, I can only go off of the oral history passed down from our ancestors. If anyone who knows Tokelau well (specifically Atafu) confirm this, that would be much appreciated.

Atafu was marooned a long time ago by Fakaofo and Nukunonu the population now are not the original natives, the original Atafu were chased off and populated islands like tikopia, sikaiana and such
