ive got an Avalon XLS of this same year and color. its at just under 300k right now and i cant come up with a single problem i have ever had since ive had mine and ive had mine since 2004 and it had about 5k on it. i cant believe how good of a purchase it was for me. ive had terrible luck with every other car or truck ive ever had, but my Avalon xls just keeps on going. all ive done is just regular maintenance, like changing fluids on schedule and to this day, it starts up as soon as the key is turned and while running it sounds like it did the day i drove it off the lot back in 2004. because ive had mine for so long, not only am i deciding to stick with toyota, but im eyeing the newer Avalons REAL hard. the 2021 Avalon TRD and the 2021 Avalon Touring are looking pretty sweet in my opinion, but at this point, im fully expecting my 2004 avalon xls to make it to 1,000,000 miles and i want to keep it for as long as possible because its just such a good car overall. this is a good video and i like how its done, but it just doesnt do the car justice. the v6 it has has a decent amount of "get up and go" when you consider the weight of the car and the fact its fwd. turn traction off and mine can actually smoke tires a little bit. no, its not a race car and i wouldnt drive it as such, but it CAN do things that might surprise people who only think of the Avalon as an "old mans car". the ride is smooth too. it rides like a higher end car, on par with Lexus of the same year. im surprised Avalon isnt a more popular model of toyota. they really are quality cars, (except 2005-2008. i wouldnt touch any toyota from 2005 to 2008) and if you take care of it, youll have a car that will outlast you.
I got an 02 in pearl white with 131k miles that I got back in 2015. The past year I did do a few expensive repairs. So far it’s good, as it currently has 163k miles.
Awesome! Pearl white is a pretty color and good to read that your vehicle is holding up; your comment speaks to the reliability of the Toyota products! Thanks for sharing and thanks for watching our video!
My grandma used to have a 02 tundra then had it for a long time I think she sold it in 2021 and later found a 2003 Avalon with 38k miles! Now she currently has around 60k miles
The 2004 Toyota Avalon sounds just like the 2003 2004 Toyota Highlander when it accelerates and starts up! That's amazing! They must share the same motor and transmission!
It rained just in time for you to use the wipers. I had my Avalon for 5 years 220k miles and it has problems but it’s still riding like it doesn’t have problems. I’m getting it fixed very soon though.

My 1999 Toyota Avalon xls is white and beige on lower part. Its the non vvt 1mz-fe engine and sounds awesome. Sounds like a sports car when accelerating and very quiet when idle. I prefer my over any newer gen.
omar hefnawi Hello and excellent question! Yes, we believe that the steering wheel is similar to the Camry. We hope that this information is useful and thanks for watching our video! Thanks
Good question! The 2005 Avalon's seating configuration was a matter of choice. Front bucket seats or a three-place bench could have been installed, which yields space for five or six occupants, respectively. We hope that this information was useful and thanks for watching our video!
The second generation Avalon has a bench seat option yes. I just bought and flipped a 2003 Silver Avalon with a Bench seat actually. But now I want one for myself. The color and model in this video is actually my favorite .
I just bought mine yesterday but only the front headlights turn on. do the back lights turn on at night for you or is it the car that has no tail lights
My favorite series of the Avalon, 2000-2004, before they ballooned in 2005
