Good job on the review bro. Thabks for keeping it real and being honest. The recovery speed wasn't too bad. The falsing and not picking up low conductivity would be pretty alarming. These cheaper ones seem like theyre good for trying out the hobby before dropping bigger $ or for kids to get their dig on.

I started out with a radio shack knockoff Bounty Hunter tracker IV, then upgraded to a White Spectrum XLT. Hated it and downgraded to a Tesoro compadre.

I got the same shovel from one of these kits. Turn the shovel like a (T) the shovel pointing one way and the pic on the other side the other way, then tighten. Instead of using feet to get shovel in ground use it like a hammer.

As of me watching this I would recommend the Mjnelab Xterra or the Nokta Simplex. But even $250 to $350 may be steep to buy your kid as a birthday present if they don’t like detecting. I went from cheaper than this ($40 at a radio shack bargain bin) to a Deus 2. So when you start out you want to see if you want to get serious.

Sold review!! 7" not bad, Got something similar but a less in cost unit for my 8y old niece to see how serious she would take it before investing in something higher end It's hard to get them away from thier phones especially when the parents give them the opportunity to play games at home with whatever they want..so cheers to all who get your kids out and into the field, lead the way! We only get out twice a year, weekly for me.

That is an ok starters detector. But I am not sure that the price is set right.. I would say around 80 top dollar for it. 150 seems a bit much.. But I enjoyed the review Man.. live digs and some seeded targets well it hit the jewelry deeper then I thought..Thanks For sharing ..

I hate to tell you but every metal detector will false from time to time depending on a lot of factors. Most of it in adjustments. Even my nox falses. But what you have to get familiar with is the fact that you only dig repeatable signals. Which you're picking up on that.
