0:26 shot before is colour graded to be red and green, priming those colours. Red and green also two of the primary and most common colours. Most basic shapes people imagine are square, circle and triangle but Derren precludes square by mentioning it. Two shapes rather than one in fact makes it more likely one of the guesses is right and though he mentions one inside the other, just says circle and triangle and not which is inside which so whichever configuration you imagined you’ll still think he’s describing exactly what you thought of. Also probably the most powerful priming, holds up his hand to suggest a triangle and circle when mentioning one inside the other.
The first one. He's using some kind of one way screen where he can see something, but the adjudicator and person can't. He's researched the one guy who he gets wrong on purpose so he calls him back. Or something like that.
For the first one, I agree on that he researched one of the participants but he used a simpler method to 'guess' which hand was above his. The adjudicator is an actor who signalled the hand.Derren introduced him as being from the "Saint Barts and London Research Institute". There is a Saint Barts hospital and of course they do research but there is no institute with the name Derren gave. The white coat is a giveaway as there's no need for a legitimate researcher to be wearing one in this environment.
"my testers become my testees"......I can't help but think this was on purpose 😂
Well of course it was 😀

WOW, he got my 2 shapes and colors!
"...a wunch of bankers..." I love it! 😂
Thanks for the set of videos. Both were exceptionally entertaining. Cheers.
44:24 that mean estimate being so accurate is not an accident, or some Derren Brown witchery, but actually quite an interesting phenomena.
