      Earth.....He must be a very close person to Ya , so even Your Wife is naked before him He will go aside.....
      FInd a church with the name of
      a Saint wich name is like Yours
      Teach the symbol of the faith ( Serdica Convention A.D. 343)

    The holy fathers of Valaam chant like the holy angels, ever singing praising before the Mighty Throne of God. Tears of gladness and awe run down my face every time I hear this. The Lord protect Valaam and the holy fathers - we need their holy prayers now more than ever. Glory to God for all things.

      Just in case if you still wonder what they mean : Matthew 5:3-12 during the Sermon on the Mount:
      Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven. (Matthew 5:3)
      Blessed are those who mourn: for they will be comforted. (5:4)
      Blessed are the meek: for they will inherit the earth. (5:5)
      Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness: for they will be filled. (5:6)
      Blessed are the merciful: for they will be shown mercy. (5:7)
      Blessed are the pure in heart: for they will see God. (5:8)
      Blessed are the peacemakers: for they will be called children of God. (5:9)
      Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (5:10)
      Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. 5:11-12

    These are the Beatitudes that my late Parents and Brother chanted at home, when I was little. Growing up during the war in Germany, we had to go to the basement every night when allies where bombing. Later in 1945 when the Americans occupied the part of Germany where we were taken to, I would hear the same words but sung as by a Choir in which my family, especially my Mother sang. I will never forget that.

    Hello, would you be so kind as to confirm whether the language of the chant is, in fact, Old Church Slavonic (based on Old Bulgarian), or (New) Church Slavonic (the liturgical language used in Russia and other parts of Eastern Europe, similar to Old Rusian)? I would greatly appreciate that, as I need the distinction for research purposes.

    • @Nemija
      @Nemija 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This is old church Slavonic and NOT based on old Bulgarian. It's the other way around: old Bulgarian, old Russian, old Serbian, old Slovakian, old Polish..WERE in fact old church Slavonic (way, way before; probably even before middle ages, when Bulgarians were still not slavitized :). Yes, original Bulgarians are NOT Slavs. They just melded with surrounding Slavic tribes on Balkan Peninsula).

    • @lyubentezgetarski2022
      @lyubentezgetarski2022 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nemija that is true to some extent however our language still has words of old proto Bulgarian language and that makes us different. Also I'd like to add that the Bulgarian brothers Cyril and Methodius gave all the Slavic tribes an alphabet to write and read with, so yes you are correct to say that we aren't as Bulgarian as we once were even though most of our names and some of our language is still proto Bulgarian.

      @irinar.6085 8 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      +Just Some Guy It's really close to old Bulgarian (cause was developed from this language) but has some differences because influenced by Old Russian a lot too. Also, church slavonic has never been a spoken language - there are no native Church Slavonic speakers. It is a language of sacramental texts and was created exactly for it. Though there are still no exact terms and people usually mix up old slavonic, old church slavonic, old russian and old bulgarian all together. :D

    • @boring5718
      @boring5718 8 ปีที่แล้ว
