Your reaction to Pearl Jam brought me to your channel. So surprising to see “Rats” as a first time listen to them! If you’re looking for a faster, more punk-style song, you REALLY should listen to “Spin The Black Circle” from their Vitalogy album. Pearl Jam is a deep rabbit hole worth jumping into.
I love "Rats" but would never choose it as an introduction. "Rear view mirror" or "Alive" are more the Pearl Jam sound but i still enjoyed the reaction so thanks.
A couple notes: Pearl Jam members are huge Punk fans. They also have a lot of punky songs. Mike mcCready is a god on guitar. Vedder is a god on vocals. Also they influenced the whole Seattle music scene faaaar earlier than the 90s. Also their live versions are always surprising and have a Jam character to them. Finally the shared fanbase of Pearl Jam and Soundgarden does not come out of nowhere. Pearl Jam members were part of a Glamrock band called Mother Love Bone, whose vocalist died back then. Chris Cornell from Soundgarden and members of Mother Love Bone then created a tribute album under the name "Temple of the Dog". They hired a guest vocalist who later became Pearl Jam's singer. Also Liam, a little mindblowing moment for you: Eddie Vedder sang on Bad Religion's Recipe for Hate album. He sang the 2nd verse in "Watch it Die" and backing vocals on the whole album.
Wow, that's really cool that Eddie Vedder sang on that album, thanks for letting me know! What are some of the "punky songs" from Pearl Jam that you would recommend? ~Liam
Pearl jam are from. Seattle but the vocals co.e from vedder who was from San Diego transplanted from Illinois at about 10, so not southern but not exactly from Washington either

It's not your introduction deep cuts are the best you're choosing the mass
interesting song selection for a PJ introduction... kudos ❤
Thanks! I always try to find songs Liam will like, even if they’re not the most popular. Plus this is one of my faves! ~ Mika
Finally a PJ reaction that is not 'Black' or 'Jeremy'
For a punk fan i would sugest "Spin the black circle"
PJ are much more than a grunge band.
"Mind your manners"
#Pj 🖤
Rats?; Interesting choice. What about "Porch-unplugged"? Or "Do the Evolution" (offical music video).. 🖤
Those are overplayed Rats, Indifference, Faithful, Satan's bed are deep cuts

@DastardlyHamster Spin the black circle, mankind, I'm gonna see my friend, supersonic
@@DastardlyHamster Lukin is their most punk song by far.
The Dave A. years. So good.
I hope you make hime listen to TOOL soon... their evolution and music is mindblowing
Good timing, we just recorded some Tool reactions recently, and they’ll be out soon! (“soon” by our standards lol) ~Mika

Pearl Jam are one of my favourite 90's bands
Mike McCready's lead guitar is one of the best around. PJ is not afraid to experiment and go outside the box in terms of music and genre's
Did you guys get the Michael Jackson reference?
❤
It would only make sense that you listen to Pearl Jams amazing Baba O'Riley cover after mentioning that song on your PJ Video :)
This song and Do The Evolution are easily Pearl Jam's best songs
Easily? they have a ton of great songs
Do the evolution is still my favorite pj song
That's a pretty bold statement.
I forgot about this one:
