Hey, from across the pond. What a fab series of video's, not too long, just the right amount of information. I have a Warfdale Denton receiver with a hardwood case. Guess what I'm doing this afternoon ? Please, Keep'um Coming.
I have the exact same model in my collection, 15 years ago I bought it from a thrift store because it was cosmetically in mint condition. Brought it home and it had a dead channel, forget which side. Every once in awhile I look over at it and think, that's one smart looking receiver, maybe some day someone on YT will do a repair video. LOL Does it get any better ?
On the IF board, you desoldered a lead that wasn’t the cap lead you were after. Did you solder it? It was right around when you said you were blind as a bat :). Your presentation is great.
Yes, I desoldered several that weren't supposed to be desoldered and eventually went back through and fixed those issues and reflowed a lot of the other joints as well. I'm sort of OCD when it comes to cleaning the boards so I generally catch any mistakes during that phase. Also, there was just so much repetitive video that I left a lot out to keep the video to a manageable length. I'm new to having to work on equipment with video cameras in my face as well as having to wear readers so I'm going to have to figure that part out. Thank you again for the positive feedback!
Great video but do you really need the background music? Especially when you tested the receiver for audio and was hoping I could hear it without the background music. But if you still insist the music, could you at least bring it down further, please.
Thank you for the comment. My hearing isn't the best so I probably couldn't hear it as easily as you. I've turned the background audio way down in my newer videos so I hope that makes it a lot better.

Thank you for the feedback! Have fun with that Warfdale. I'm sure it is a beauty. I would love to have a pair of the Warfdale Dovetail speakers.

@@joanfrellburg4901 hopefully, you’ll get it up and running again. It’s a beautiful receiver for sure!

@@TheMakerShopTech awesome stuff, this really helps me. I just started learning this stuff in my early 60s, never too late I guess.
@@Daltondoubledeuce Good luck to you! It's an adventure for sure.

@@TheMakerShopTech If you enjoy the music while you work, leave it on! Excellent detail on your videos.
