You are talking about the blues that I love - leading into the chord changes -that is what made me a blues fan (it just took too long to figure that out). When I run into someone who says "Oh, I don't like the blues", my first thought is that they have been listening to guys who just rip through a bunch of notes in a solo and probably don't use the loose structure you are talking about - giving the listener something to follow. I WISH I HAD COME ACROSS YOUR INFLUENCE WHEN I FIRST STARTED PLAYING! I would be light years ahead of the minuscule progress I've made - of course discipline probably comes into play here as well but then again early success does wonders. Thanks killer.

I have seen so many website music lesson buisniess where the cost is hidden somewhere. I'm currently working through your videos at truefire but I will come over to fretvoard confidential when I'm finnished with a few of them :)
The best way to fix your blues is when you got out of jail, stop drinking, don't wake up early in the morning to dust your broom and your baby comes back home with more money than she previously stole from you. Liked the bit about a pickup to lead into the first chord; in our little guitar group I tried explaining the pickups in ‘Summertime’… and the net response was an emphatic ‘Nah!’… certain people just wanted to do a straight strum. Teaching is hard sometimes… something to do with horses and water….
