Here's another fact you didn't know....the shifter will most likely go out by telling you to shift to park when it's already in park. Yep 3 times in 12 months. Read the chevy forums. It's a common problem chevy chooses to ignore.
Hi, Largeruss! Thanks for your message. We have not yet heard of this problem. We sell mostly trucks in our area and are unfortunately not at all familiar with this issue. Have you spoken to your dealership about this issue?
Don't forget about the accelerator pedal position sensor. What a great idea to have your car limit your speed to half of the flow of traffic while cruising down the interstate. And Chevy avoided having to buy my vehicle back after the 3rd failure, by having the dealership report that the problem was some other unrelated problem, yet they still replaced the accelerator pedal without it being on the invoice. Dealer lost a 25 year customer after that one. And had a huge dent on the hood of a just delivered truck, via an errant brick.
I LOVE MY 2016 MALIBU!! It has a brain!! lol Something to get use to but has saved me so many times with Maintenance. Is full of safety features!!!! most the time is a plus. Learning what those are has been an adventure. If your fluids are low. It won't start or it will turn off the car when you stop at a light. I learned to check my fluid levels when I get gas to prevent sitting at a light and my car turns off. When the car says change oil soon, Check your oil make sure it is not low. That will prevent all that.
If ur malibu turns off at the light after trying to turn back on from auto stop, its more than likely that you have the wrong type battery. I got the oem battery and it solved that issue for me. Its was like 250 dollars though
I'm having the same issue in my 2016 Malibu. I have to pull over and turn the car off, wait 3 to 5mins. then turn it back on and it drives normal. Mostly it happens on the highway and it's so random. This happened of course after my warranty ended. I cleaned out the throttle body, that didn't help. I been reading online that it could be the accelerator pedal. I may buy one and see if that will help.
Daniel B. I had an issue with the throttle control and electronic accelerator, not sure if this will help. Mine was replaced under my 12,000 mile warranty.
I had that problem on several occasions. The dealer hid the 3rd time as another unrelated issue, so they wouldn't have to buy my vehicle back due to Lemon Laws in my state. Unsurprisingly, they still changed the accelerator pedal, even though it wasn't on the invoice. That dealer lost a 25 year customer with that stunt.
@@Wallacechev My apologies for the major 2 year delayed response. Everything is much better now, it was the eccellerator pedal. I have a video on my TH-cam page how to fix it.

I have the same car and my charger doesn't charge in that spot.
Jamel Hudson neither does mine.
Jamel Hudson does the phone support wireless carging?
@@nyman1228 i have to to take mine out of my case for it to work and then a lightning bolt will appear on the touch screen
Uwe Henseler Thanks.
Does it work with iPhones ? Cause I tried this in my car and it didn’t work :(
My 09 Lt had heated seats
At this rate Chevy will finally overcome Toyota! It just needs a little better price and more advertisment. The car is amazing, I have a 2014 (actually a 2013) model. Like the one on the right but a different front. It lacks seat heat and front light wash and video player in the screen (Saudi version, yuck) still love the car. And yes, my car does have a hidden Chevy in the lights. See the orange part on the edge? In mine, the LTZ, it is silve and has a Chevy logo on it.
Hey DarknoorX! GM sales have been up across the board so at this rate it's only a matter of time before we're back on top! Sounds like you're really enjoying your 2013 Malibu LTZ! Are there any other differences in the Saudi version? We've never seen that version in the metal before! Yes!! Chevrolet has slipped in the Chevy logo in various places for years and we love the attention to detail! Thanks for your comment and stay tuned for more soon!
DarknoorX
they wont overcome jack shit
look at how many problems these malibus and all gm cars in general have
Squid_Garage and they do nothing to help keep customers happy.
The newer models are overpriced junk. The older body style is a way better car.

My 16 Malibu looks like the white one
Hmm, why shouldn't I buy a G.M. product? Let's review -- the Vega -- aluminum engine with aluminum cylinders . Excessive cylinder wear ,oil burning, overheating, engine warpage, blown head gaskets. The 5.7 Liter diesel-a poorly modified gasoline engine. Cracked head(s) block, crankshaft. Cadillac V8-6-4 engine multiple engine and electronics malfunctions. Cadillac 4100 aluminum engine - overheating, engine warpage, electronic malfunctions. G.M.s French built 250 transmission -- made for subcompacts and installed in full sized cars-- numerous failures. There are other examples. Another reason not to buy a G.M. product? Hmm, I can't "recall".
Thanks for the head up what would you suggest?
A. A . Anything Asian ! Personally , I'm on my 4th Hyundai since 1989 and I'm still driving 3 of them . '99 Accent '10 Accent '13 Sonata . My '89 Excell met an untimely fate when it got smashed at 101k
Best warranty in the business .I'm a retired auto mechanic and firetruck builder. I'm too busted up to fix cars for a living so I now work at Autozone selling auto parts and handing out advice. I also do airport transportation. My Sonata has 61k . Not a days trouble .Of course, I'm fanatical about maintenance. If you're buying a car (any car)with an automatic transmission , stay away from C.V.T. ! (look that up)Too unproven and unreliable. Good luck and G-d bless.
+Shepperd November I like idea of cvt
Hyundai is garbage. Buy a proven reliable car like a Camry or Lexus.
Just traded in a Monte Carlo that I had for thirteen years, with no major mechanical issues during that time. Had 156k when I traded it in. Bought it with 15k. All I had to do was take care of it.
The 2015 Chevy mabliu ls
I actually like the look of the older Malibu 2013/15 better then the newer ones. If you’re tall you won’t fit in one.
2011 dash lites out no,gauges and 0work
How about 0-60
We tend not to drive our new cars much-let alone perform a 0-60 test- as we are a dealership and these vehicles are for sale. However, the 2016 Malibu Lt does hit 0-60mph in 8.5 seconds. Hope that helps!
