Antony Di Placido Modifies the amount of knock you deal and sustain. The higher your handicap is, the more knockback you'll deal and less knockback you'll sustain. At level nine handicap against level one handicap, the knockback of your attacks will be about four times stronger, and you'll sustain about a quarter of the knockback.
I used to do this with my friends except we would set ganondorf to level 9 as well as his handicap. Sometimes we would switch him out for jigglypuff, which was always worth a laugh.
The Melee and damage-based handicaps are both bad for their intended use as "skill equalizers", but the Melee one was much more fun to fool around with, while the damage-based one was really only useful for kill percent and knockback testing.
Omega Tyrant In he melee handicapped version, I loved having me, my brother and another level cpu pit up against another level 9 cpu (or friend). It really enjoyable having 3 on 1 matches against an opponent that was naturally tougher than you as it made teamwork necessary and fun to play around with. It was ilke a test of skill on "hey how long can you and your friends combo this guy?". I think it was better both in a conventional sense and in a fun way. Brawl and ssb4 don't change any of the character's strengths, it jut starts you off with more percent than usual. That isn't very good when playing 2 on 1 since everyone still has the normal strength level and it doesn't equalize much of anything enough for a good fight
Christ, this actually made me kind of mad. Ganondorf would have gotten his ass handed to him if the dumbass Falco bots knew how to dair, or even how to fucking dodge a ledge recovery attack.
I actually tried this on Corneria and I didn't get the same results you did, am I doing something wrong or- Nevermind, Ganon just blew up a bunch of Falco
The Falcos will sometimes win. I did this a bunch to get the most entertaining video, and the Falcos won about a fourth to a third of the time. So the results will definitely vary.
I'm definitely gonna try getting a Ganon challenge going next time I play. Wouldn't be able to record it though, as my current recording setup requires playing on my computer, which is vulnerable to sudden freezes, which would just be unacceptable to play on with others.
Haha, that's amazing. Unfortunately, my current computer is too weak to properly run Dolphin (let alone run simultaneously with a screen recording program), so I wouldn't be able to do any videos with it.
Falcos beat the crap out of Ganondorf, the crowd doesn't care.
Ganondorf lands one jab, the crowd goes crazy.
And not a single Falco attempted a shine.
Fucking casuals.
Ryan Chandler lol dey need too get gud they didnt even DI
Srsly doh call me when dem falcos get gewd
I guess you can say.. DAT AIN'T FALCOS
Reflector
And that, boys and girls, is why you should never attack Ganondorf during a taunt.
lol
"DID YOU JUST HIT ME, DURING MY TAUNT?!"
expertkiller360 DONT YOU DARE HIT ME DURING MY TAUNT I WILL PUSH THE A BUTTON
expertkiller360 That Lythero refrence.
MarioBrax
YEAH :D
I love how Ganon used his invincibility to taunt.
He fucking knows he's too good, dude.
Give Ganondorf handicap 8 instead of 9; for some odd reason, possibly a glitch, 8 takes even less knockback.
@@DrDavidTheTrustableOnecringe transphobic detected
The Triforce of Power did not fail him
Ganon killed more falco's with his recovery than his jab. Christ.
Imagine having 7 falco's vs. 1 Ganondorf in 8-player-smash...
Too bad handicap is different from melee
Old comment, but I did it th-cam.com/video/Xlc9utXY5co/w-d-xo.html
good idea using customs
Or 7 ganondorf's and 1 falco. I don't think it'd would be possible for someone to win that.
Link's in the description.
3:26 did he just walk up slowly and side smash?
+daman269 he did... he did though...
This guy is more edgy than the characters from Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead combined.
It sent UP, too. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Those CPUs were too casual
Ganon knew he could knock them out of the ring with one punch anyway so he decided to have fun and let them beat him around a little bit.
lmao, Ganondorf's so much of a cocky prick that he taunts in their faces every time he dies.
this is basically what superman vs batman looks like
Average Rob Since when has there been 3 Supermans in the same universe?
Kyle Dean I think he means the other way around
1:31 OOH BABY A TRIPLE
OH YEAH
indeed
Please nerf Gannon get up attack
Oh baby indeed
And that's my guide to get a triple KO collateral.
I kinda miss the old handicap system.
Yeah, it was so much funner to mess around with. The only thing the damage-based handicap is good for is testing the knockback of moves.
What was different?
Skeeter Mania
Melee's handicap is based on the amount of knockback you deal and sustain, Brawl's/Smash 4's just starts you off at higher damages.
Omega Tyrant There's always damage ratio.
Skeeter Mania
Damage ratio affects all players though
Accurate representation of Ganon in hyrule warriors.
I love how Ganondorf taunts after respaening like, "Good one, guys."
Ledge grab too stronk.
[✓] Too fast
[✓] Too strong
Looks like Rage mode predates Smash 4.
In celebration of Hyrule Warriors... Maybe.
a skilled ganondorf can beat any falco
3:21 lmao he taunts for no reason
That was unorthodox, even for Melee CPUs
Was I the only one rooting for falco at the end
Yes
why did my almost decade old comment get hearted 😭
Happy Feet! Wombo Combo!
That ain't Falco....no wait, it is Falco......my bad.
what you see here is a basic summary of AI in melee... jab, Nair, Dthrow shine, taunting for no reason. It gives me cancer every time
Chris Awesome In Smash*. They didn't improve it...
1:10 why the hell Ganondorf did a taunt? XD
Because either he's a good sport. Or he's rubbing in the fact he's gonna win anyway.
Mike Hawk It's every time they die. When they die, they come back and taunt.
MiniVoltarShinyHunter They only do it if you cross them though, as you can see when one of the Falcos moves past him.
Mike Hawk IDK. The coms are weird.
Levels one are not programmed to be weak, they're programmed to let you win.
Taunting helps achieve this goal.
Team Falco: *jab jab jab jab jab jab jab jab jab jab jab jab jab jab jab jab jab jab jab jab jab jab jab jab jab jab jab jab *
this is probably a realistic power level.
Ganondorf in this video reminded me of Saitama for some reason.
I like the part where he jabbed.
That handicap doe
What does handicap even do?
Antony Di Placido
Modifies the amount of knock you deal and sustain. The higher your handicap is, the more knockback you'll deal and less knockback you'll sustain.

Thanks, great vid btw. AI can be so stupid sometimes
I used to do this with my friends except we would set ganondorf to level 9 as well as his handicap. Sometimes we would switch him out for jigglypuff, which was always worth a laugh.
To be expected, shadow clones can only take one hit. The real falco isn't among them.
You just don`t simply fight a Ganon
When it comes to recovering... Ganon makes all those Falcos get rekt
Falco's: Aww FIRE, oh whoops I died.
It was like the 3rd time this match.
***** Well technically he doesnt have fur so I guess that would make him a featherfag.
I guess you could say, Ganon has KILLER recovery.

I see that Triforce of Power is serving you well, O Lord and Saviour Ganondorf.
seems like normal ganondorf play to me. I am a ganon main.
Final Destination was used as the arena for their fight. And that was one of the most situationally fitting things they ever done.
Luigi: Finally a worthy opponent,Our battle will be legendary
Level 9's lose to a level 1?
I had such a match in the 3DS demo the other day that went to Sudden Death. That has no team mode though.
the handicap is set to 1 for the level 9's
2:07 That Falco heard the music and suddenly thought, "I MUST BUST A MOVE."

lol i couldn't get over ganondorf's cape having the same colour as the background sometimes. It looked like he didn't have a neck XD
I remember making fights in brawl with a level 1 Kirby with 300 hp vs two level nine metaknights and me as metaknight all with one hp. It was fun.

I really thought the Falco team got this in the bag. They dealt so much damage to that Ganon!
I like how when the cpu on team they do a lot of combos
1:09, hey enemy Falcos, mind if I taunt in front of you guys?
Ha ha h-
SMACK.
3:28 LOL!
So Ganondorf's ledge attack is OHKO?
?
Yes, use it in tourneys
***** My brain.
Falco's last words: FAIYAH! THUAAACK!
I wish the handicap system was like melee's. It was better in my opinion, making it more evenly adjustable.
The Melee and damage-based handicaps are both bad for their intended use as "skill equalizers", but the Melee one was much more fun to fool around with, while the damage-based one was really only useful for kill percent and knockback testing.

why they say MARIO when he dont battle
Christ, this actually made me kind of mad. Ganondorf would have gotten his ass handed to him if the dumbass Falco bots knew how to dair, or even how to fucking dodge a ledge recovery attack.

what will fox say if he see this falco huh??? falco says uuuuuu
How the hell is he getting one hit ko's with his ledge attack
They almost had it!
Why don't you try a "7 Fox vs. 1 Luigi" smash?
See if it was Fox instead of Falco they would've won
This is a joke these lvl 9 falco’s only had Handicap 1.
Melee's AI in a nutshell
Well, I'll be! It's amazing!
I am pretty sure level 8 handicap is stronger than level 9 due to a bug or something.
Did it with Foxes.
LMFAO best video of the day so far!
1:08-1:12 couldn't help but laugh for some reason
He was the 1 indeed.
1:09 Omae wa mou shindeiru
"HAHAHAHA... *PUNCH*"
I actually tried this on Corneria and I didn't get the same results you did, am I doing something wrong or- Nevermind, Ganon just blew up a bunch of Falco

Omega Tyrant Aaah, okay, also I tried doing this with me as the first player, and that was hard considering about all the Falcos.
At least the Falcos tried xD
No they didn't XD
melee>melee
Jaja its awesome in another effect its the damage ratio.
i dunno if this proves how good ganondorf is or how stupid the ai is
Melee is perfect my ass
1:09 No Fear
This video is hilarious 😂
poor little ganon
Level 1's are superior.
Proof that Gannon is superior
That ain't Falco
saitama op confirmed
gonandoorf to stronk nearf pis nintendough
Swagondorf
WOMBO COMBO!
this has to be a hack or a mod or something. this cant be natural.
It's on handicap
i tried this on brawl AND FALCOS WINS
That's because the Ganon was using handicap, which works differently in Melee than it does in Brawl.
Zeeky Retzorg handicap past:knock back
handicap now, damage
Why you just do the ganon challenge with you being the ganon and record it? I'm sure they're good falcos in your region no?
I'm definitely gonna try getting a Ganon challenge going next time I play. Wouldn't be able to record it though, as my current recording setup requires playing on my computer, which is vulnerable to sudden freezes, which would just be unacceptable to play on with others.
Omega Tyrant I've seen you upload sets with Kyle though. How did you get those up?
Brian Hu
Replays
Now redo this, but with the MASTERGANON hack
Haha, that's amazing. Unfortunately, my current computer is too weak to properly run Dolphin (let alone run simultaneously with a screen recording program), so I wouldn't be able to do any videos with it.
Well, too bad...
Ganondork.....
