I know I’ll get a lot of flack for asking but do you like painted exterior brick? My high pitch roof cottage in rural Vic has red brick, and grey cedar siding starting at the lowest part of the roof line to the pitch. I’d love to paint it all off white, the brick is not standard and has rough bits and the mortar is flush with the bricks, perfect for painting. My only concern is the amount of spiders and insects and dust flying about. I’m not a fan of red brick or my red Colourbond shed and want it all neutral. I feel this idea falls into the category of people who think painting wood is sacrilege. To me the colour of the brick is just colour.
I love white or off white painted brick but paint has to be very thin(which I assume this would mean having to paint it more often ? Don’t know ? I love brick interior floors but just don’t like the colors of any brick or really
My daughter moved into a house with a large red brick fireplace. She painted it white and it looks fabulous. However, white gets dirty very easily. Being outside it would collect a lot of webs dust and dirt, however would look stunning.
