    I saw those and almost pulled the trigger on one. I love my Zero Press, no flies on either. But I think I’m going to pick up a 750 next.

    I’ve had one for a couple of months - received through the first pre-order - to be honest I couldn’t be happier with it. The finish and usability is absolutely first class. I’ve had a RCBS Rockchucker & Forster Co-Ax previously this without doubt the best press I’ve ever owned. No doubt the price is up there but what isn’t these days.

    Thanks for the video. I’d have been interested in how it copes with sizing though.

    Check your video John. It has some dead spots. It goes blank at 17:17 but has five more minutes left and ends at 22:12. There are a couple of raw shots of the shell holders and stops during that timeframe as well. 😁

    Appreciate the video and I just received my Nexus. I was using a Zero with a SAC resizing die (300PRC) and couldn't get a shoulder bump even with 419's shellholders; I hope the Nexus will solve that issue.

    The primer tube location is a problem for me. Sticking with COAX for now.

    Is there really a difference in round consistency with this and an RCBS or something else equally cheap? I mean my rounds measure so consistently. What could this possibly improve?

    Ive been contemplating a new press because i am frustrated with my Mec and not being able to keep my sizing die settings. The damn ring always comes.loose. i am leaning towards a turret press however. You gave such rave reviews of the zero press, i dont know if this would change my mind. If you had any pros or cons for either it may help

      @FClassJohn  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I think they're both really great presses and just do thing differently. It really comes down to what kind of press you want. One way to think about it is that the turret favors someone who uses the same dies all the times and can leave them in a turret and this one favors reloaders who swap around different dies.

    I'm a bit worried it will wear out. Seems like a lot of moving parts (nothing is locked in). I love the idea of open though. They should be open, I think everything should be on one press.

    I have been looking at this press, but getting details on what shell holders are available to suit all the calibres I shoot has been impossible so far. SAC need to do a better job with their website.

    Thanks for the vid. Only thing I dislike is having to pay for 4 shell holders when I will only use one. I much prefer a-la-carte. Same for Zero's. Please let us buy only the shell holders we want.

    • @FClassJohn
      @FClassJohn  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I understand and that goes both ways depending on the person. For every person who only loads one (like me and you) there's countless other people who appreciate the value of having 4 holders.

      @@FClassJohn So then they should create an option to do either one. It doesn't have to be only one option.

  • @Iscariot18
    @Iscariot18 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    We understand the value, but at the end of the day it's a single stage press. It brings new ideas to the table (cam-over or not, shellholder dome) and pushes press design forward (Bravo) but I'll never advocate for increased prices anywhere as a consumer. Basically $800 for a single stage press is ridiculous. This is a boutique item from a boutique vendor.
    But hey, at least it beats the tar out of L.E. Wilson's new press ($~1250) which doesn't bring anything new to the table and takes a step back in at least one area.

    Sir I am Flabbergasted by the Ongoing NEED for the Shell to MOVE Side to Side and Now for the NEXUS to ROATATE OFF AXIS !
    I find this action Geometrically FLAWED !!! My Reasoning for this is as follows: When Gunsmiths Chamber a Barrel they They attempt to find the CENTER LINE of the bore so as to CENTER Line the Chamber to the Bore ! So why would use an Shell Holder that Can & Will Allow the CASE head to STAY NON-TANGET to the Case Body during Resizing ! Sir you are buying in a Very Flawed Concept...Why is this NOT Apparent to You. That fact is Nexus and You are WRONG. You need to make Sure that the CASE Head, Case Body, Case Shoulder and Case Neck are Center Lined to each other AND Tangent to the CASE HEAD. So I say Again How is a Shell Holder going to Support Case Center Line if it is allowed to move OFF AXIS. IN-Fact

    • @Ooogs-h1i
      @Ooogs-h1i 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The idea behind it is to allow the case to align itself with the die centerline as it's virtually impossible for Short Action Customs to control the tolerances of dies that they did not create. If you allow no movement and it's perfectly center, and the die is a few thousands off, the case will not align. It's the same reason many people run an O-ring under their die ring, to allow some self alignment.

      Brass has a head stamp and sometimes ejector swipe. Spherical case holders allow for that.
