My favorite part of this fight is when Buuhan tried to pull the "Youre only winning because you fused" and Vegito straight stares him in the face and says "Youre only this strong from eating all my friends and family."

I’d agree with you about the fights with Buu, almost all of them felt dissatisfying to the point where whenever he regenerated I about slammed my face through a concrete wall. However, when he’s not fighting, I do like him a lot. The humor Toriyama put into his character is great, the man literally poked a whole through space and time just to get chocolate.
Vegito will always be my favorite fusion and this fight is easily a forever favorite of mine. I'm showing my age here, but the FIRST Dragon Ball Z episodes that I ever had on home release was a VHS tape called Fusion Saga: The Last Saiyan. Yeah, back when DVDs were 'expensive' so I couldn't afford the uncut version. My mom got me the $10 VHS and I chose it because it had 4 episodes on it instead of 3.
Keep in mind, this was when I FIRST got into DBZ. I didn't know next to anything about the series. Before Goku went Super Saiyan on Namek, Gohan went SS2 against Cell and heck even the epicness that was the Kamehameha/Galick Gun beam struggle; my first true DBZ experience was Vegito beating the heck out of Super Buu for 4 episodes! It wasn't until AFTER I had already seen MOST of GT (because I collected VHS tapes from the Vegito fight all the way to Goku vs. Uub in the final episode) that I was getting the orange DVD boxes of DBZ seasons starting from the beginning.
*My first time I ever watched a DBZ episode was on a random Saturday via Toonami when I was channel surfing and the TV got to Cartoon Network. The first scene I saw and the moment I went; ok, I gotta watch this series was seeing Android 17 crush Number 20's head and smirk at the Z-Fighters! I think the marathon played a few episodes up until the point Vegeta got his arm broken by 18.
Gogeta Super Saiyan 4 is my favourite ever but thing is it's non canon.

For the record, I still think that Gohan was more at fault for not catching the potara earring.
Vegito definitely overwhelmed Super Buu, especially when he went Super Saiyan. It wasn't even a fight after that. Super Saiyan Vegito completely dominated Super Buu to the point that he wasn't even a threat anymore, and this was the strongest version of Buu. Even Buu turning Vegito into candy, couldn't stop him. The strongest candy in the universe beat the tar out of Buu, and forced him to turn the candy back into Vegito. If Vegito had wanted to kill Buu, then Buu would have been destroyed during this fight, but Vegito wanted to save his sons and Piccolo before defeating Buu.
Goku was at fault. Clearly could have done instant transmission to Gohan.
