Beautiful video and great photos. Thank you so much for sharing this. It's wonderful. And wow, married 33 years and still in love. That's awesome. Bless you both!
excellent transfer, looks like it was filmed just yesterday. Brought back memories of all my old 1970's Super 8 buried in the closet. Wish I could do that!
The projector is an Elmo SP-F, very basic. I have added electronics i.e. Opto-coupler mouse switching control, 12V motor, toothed belt and pulleys [ex video recorder] PWM motor control and Lumiled light source control circuits. Film path as follows - Webcam > IR/UV filter > lens > film gate > Light LED. Hope this helps.
@isometric85 Thx for kind comment. Yep, it looks quite good on a 32" LCD TV IMHO especially my clip [ Super 8 mm Wedding Film 1974 - Raw Telecine processed with Avisynth ]
The super 8 transfers where done lovely! I bet that you are so pleased. Shame about the terrible sound effects... My ears are still ringing lol! All jokes aside though, Its nice that you still in love after al these years. I have just had my films transferred by Video station. But I have been doing tests myself. Home movies are so precious, especially back when it was so difficult to capture.
@airscrew1 I found this video clip of me messing about with a philips toucam in 2005, the first camera i tried for my telecine machine. No harm was done to any of the participants in the video - LOL TH-cam " Philips ToUcam Webcam "
Its a Super 8mm silent film, I've added the sound effects - Bells and background crowd babble. The actual silent film only can be found here [ Super 8 mm Wedding Film 1974 - Raw Telecine processed with Avisynth ] HQ quality. Read the info to the right of the clip to get it to play properly - TH-cam have not corrected the play error yet!!
This is very cute and beautiful! I envy you a little bit. Excellent memory for you and your family! '34 Together, it's very good! I live with my wife in '22 only. But I have no video of our wedding pictures only ... I wish you luck!
I am amazed how good quality and nice colors Super 8mm have. While watching this I noticed one girl 1:51-1:53 who reminds me my ex girlfriend. I wonder how this girl in your movie looks now 36 years later.

Hi, I make audio-biographies for people and have been looking for clips of home videos to use to promote it. Yours is amazing! Would I be able to use some of it if I credit you? Thanks in advance.
Hi ! I am writing to you from Grand Angle Productions, a production company based in France who is presently producing a documentary on the nullity of the marriage. The film will be aired on KTO, the French Catholic channel. It will aim at informing about is the nullity of a marriage. For this documentary I’m looking for old wedding footages. So, I am contacting you to ask for permission to use it. If you cannot grant it, would you kindly let me know who I should contact to grant such an authorization?
Your video is slightly sepia, this is the effect you get when not using an I/R filter. My filter was obtained from an old webcam, part of the lens assembly. It can be difficult to remove the blue/red crystal like substance as it is easily smashed. The blue cyan glass type filter in camcorders and still ccd camera's do result in loss of light, I have not found these to be satisfactory. Regards
And then after the honeymoon you both went to watch the new release of Monty python and the holy grail right? =D Great video, I just got a 8mm camera and I am buying film for it to record my holiday in 2 months time. =)
No, I don't think the consensus is that film is inferior/outdated. For the most part I believe film is still looked at at being beautiful and very hard to beat with any digital format. But for low-budgeters it comes down to expense. If film was looked at being inferior why is everyone wanting their video footage to look more "film-like"?
Yeah, like the US doesn't have any small, ugly houses either. Can't beat a British country house - best in the world. And at least British houses are made of brick, not flimsy old wood, lol!
Beautiful video and great photos. Thank you so much for sharing this. It's wonderful. And wow, married 33 years and still in love. That's awesome. Bless you both!
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing your memories with us. God bless the both of you! :)

I had a FUJI Single 8 movie camera and made a similar wedding film 1977 when my sister got married. Watching this reminded me of that time.
Absolutely stunning transfer.. One of the best i've seen. Well done
This is outstanding. I mean, both video and wedding. Good luck to you.

No. The area reserved for the sound track is used for image. Hence the "super". That wold be my understanding anyway.

Was this filmed using Kodachrome film?
