That spring loaded flipper actually returned, it had some force behind it, and it was all over Comangetorix. I didn't remember this fight, fully expected Pussycat to do all the work, but Diotor did their fallen team-mates proud. And the award for worst driving ever goes to... Then Storm 2 won new bloods, the producer hated them, and the "active weapon" rule came into effect, so they added a wimpy weapon to the wedge so they could keep as much weight in solid metal as they could.
Was that the Extreme Warriors graphic for Killaot's specs in the Challenge Belt fight? How strange, using the pound weight instead of the normal Kilograms. Especially odd since Matilda was in the UK form, JP even talks about the weight in Kg
I though Pussycat would have done more during this tag team fight, but it looks like their sawblade wasn't functioning this time. This was Diotoir's time to shine like the tourch it dreams to be. Oh, Napalm 2, did you ask, 101, if they could lend you their curse for this fight?
Ok how did napalm and in turn its team get so lucky!?!!? They were never defeated in the first round of any series and they have somehow won most if not all their battles because another teams robot broke down or something or in this case both of them!!!!
By early season standards they were pretty reliable weirdly. They were always fucking awful, but in series 1 and 2, waiting for your opponent to break down was a legit strategy, so they got through pretty easily. This time it was because Gemini added wheelie bars to the back of the robots to stop them from rolling backwards as much while driving, and they did work pretty well for that, but it also meant that in the event that they still managed to roll backwards, they could no longer self right. It was a pretty stupid tactical decision because while it fixed a minor issue it just introduced a new, more serious issue.
My, what a mixed bag of battles in this episode! A great opening fight between Wild Thing and Tornado, though unfortunately they didn't manage to beat Tornado. That disc of Wild Thing is always hyped up but I never saw it actually do much in any of its battles, as soon as that disc hit something it just tended to... stop. The Tag Team Terror battle was a bit all over the place what with Mega Morg being subbed out for Pussycat. Tbh though, even if Diotior didn't have Pussycat with them and Mega Morg had stayed in, I think they would have won that battle anyway. As I always say, Comengetorix and its predecessor always looks great and seems like a powerful competitor but they never do well. The Executioner... well, good job for showing up! The battle could have been more interesting, but they just took themselves out! How the hell Napalm won its battle is a once in a million chance. The Spider looked quite good until it broke down on the flame put and Gemini somehow failed to flip itself over! It really was Gemini's battle to lose, and somehow they did just that! Will be interesting to see how Napalm does in the annihilator. The Flipper Frenzy though... wow, I always love seeing that battle! Some of the best battles in the classic series are the competitors ganging up to fight the house robots! When Bash retreats away with its crushing jaw open, I always imagine it to look like a snake hissing with its mouth open! Such a good battle, though what the hell happened to Wheely Big Cheese? They went for Matilda and just... died. Like the robot should have been able to fling Matilda no problem but the cheese just sort of died over there whilst the others beat up Bash! I love the post battle bit of it too, where everyone is laughing and it shows the house robot crew being angry too! Such a great atmosphere from the battle!
I still don't understand that weird angle of the disc of wild thing, If they changed the angle and got a powerful motor for it, they would won many more fights.
Tornado vs Wild Thing - about what I expected. I like Wild Thing and its manouvrability and good driving but it was unlikely to be able to do much to Tornado. Wild Thing's spinning disk (that JP babbles about nonstop) was just ignored completely by Tornado. Not sure if Tornado's own spinner did much either, certainly not compared with Tornado's number one weapon which is simply its ramming ability. All credit to Wild Thing for lasting the distance, but I think Tornado quite convincingly won that. The tag looked pretty ho hum, until Mega Morg was replaced by Pussycat. Still just a rather confused brawl, as most of them are. Fairly amusing that Comengetorix's last-minute srimech flip deposited them neatly on top of their partner robot in the pit. Dominator is quite a handy robot with an effective axe, but they hardly had time to show it as the Executioner managed to hit the pit button on their third attempt then drove straight into it. The 'Mayhem' - I think I'd bet on Gemini. Not sure I'd expect anything from Napalm or Spider. Well, one of Gemini flipped Napalm, which managed to self-right, then both Genini managed to flip themselves up and strand themselves - Napalm wins by default. Who woulda thought it? The flippers are interesting. Only one missing is Firestorm. Chaos is usually a winner. Bigger Brother can be effective at times. Thermidor - I've always thought the pincers were mostly decoration - and this time they said it themselves! - "The pincers are just there for show". But its flipper can be very effective. Wheely Big Cheese has a massively powerful flip - IF it can get under its target. Well, this was not what I expected, but most welcome - seeing Bash getting hurled around by three flippers (the Cheese broke down). Not really a contest of flippers, but Thermidor was the winner, the only one left running at the end (and still trying to flip Matilda).
Plasma nitride coating is actually not just paint lol. It forms a thin layer on the surface of titanium, but that thin layer has a hardness of 1000, which is 3 & 1/3× harder than ar500 steel.
The Executioner... talked a load of trash... and gave us a load of trash. What's not to love? Shoulda known better than to talk rubbish about Dominator 2.
Team Diotoir should have made their robot into a spinner a long time ago lol. That tipper is so impotent. Hilarious anytime that it works though, for that very reason. 😂

But I'm probably gonna need to get some money in for a portable DVD player so that I can show my friends 'Mars Attacks' and tell them a story of a game I think should definitely be a Wii U game. I'll probably make some stories to get some money in to try and get some good things to do and I'm gonna be working hard until I've worked myself into a reward for my efforts. I'm probably gonna be working hard until I've worked myself into a reward for my work.
