As phenomenal as Angelina's performance of this song is, it's not the best version (IMHO.) That would be Matt Cardle's performance on the X Factor UK. "Simply stunning," to quote Simon Cowell. And I have to agree.
I've never seen the performance you mention that was on the X Factor, and although this wasn't a top tier performance by Angelina, I'm willing to bet Matt Cardle wasn't reading the lyrics from an iPad and it wasn't his first take. I'd also bet he wasn't 10 or 11 when he performed it. 🤷♂️
I get that a lot of folks want to compare versions of songs, that is fine. Lets always take into consideration that comparing a grown man's very well produced TV version to an 11 year old sitting on bench, reading the lyrics with just a Mic (not the best either) and a guitar is something that need not be compared IMHO.

Matt Cardle's performance was stunning, but comparing the 2 performances is unfair for multiple reasons
