Thanks 4 video It really works Yall! Step 1. Turn on car all the way Step 2. Go to affected window. Seat down close door. Step 3. Roll window all the way down step by step (let button go) Step 4. Press and hold down for 17 to 20 seconds (let button go) Step 5. Press and hold up don't let go until window goes up and down twice and your code will clear

This fix worked...have error up on idrive as shown on video, sit in affected window seat with window all the way down and hold button down for 17 secs using your smartphone clock app ..then hit up button and hold it up until windows raises and lowers several times...problem solved..THX FOR POSTING!!
Made my day, had completely dissembled the door and window..nothing - the Diagnose Computer couldn’t deliver anything of value either... then I found this and assembled the door again, thanks ;-).

My BMW E60 (2010 528i) had the same issue. I was about to give up. I read you must be in the seat with the broken window while doing it, car on , w message error drilled down on display, must be exactly 17 secs, and it worked. I also cleaned the glass, used alcohol and q-tips to clean the tracks, then sprayed the tracks w silicone lube.
I had this alarm today. Try this method and the window wouldn't open or close. So I took the door panel apart and disconnect the adapter on the window switch and window regulator motor. After that, reconnect the 2 adapters back in again. Test the window switch, open and close again but the alarm still on computer. So I did this video procedures and it work on my first try and clear the alarm. I owe this person dinner and beers!!!

Just an FYI, there is no need to go into the iDrive screen to have the error displayed. As long as the key is in the "ON" position, the procedure works irrespective of whats on the iDrive screen.
Hey thanks for the good clear instructions. The issue I’m having is that I have the same message HOWEVER my window will only go up about an inch or two at a time (while holding the button) will this fix, fix my window? If not any suggestions? BMW is $190 an hour and I’m not interested in paying them to do it lol
Hi, the Airbag light could be due to several reasons.. the restraints usually means it is your seat belt system, but the best option would be to have it on a tester and see what errors brings up. Thanks for watching

Didn't work for me, tried many times. Later had a hint to spray silicone on rails with window and run it up and down several times. After applying silicone this tutorial helped to reset windows.
fucking genius, had tried this in all manner of similar ways but the key was to make sure you go into the iDrive and have the error on screen before trying the reset!

Didn't work for me either. followed steps exactly timed. still only goes up in stsges and down in stages. Did the procedure 13 times at the back passenger window.

Mine did not worked when I first tried and then it did when it was on idrive screen ...
It worked after I did everything correct. You have to it at the windows switch with the problem and not at the drivers master switch.

What about second error you have Restrained sistem airbag belt tension how to fix that I have it too.

@@pilot.adrian in my 525d pre lci is different. Window full close, push full close ~20 seconds. Fixed today by bmw service. 👌
