. It was a nice informative video thank you very much for your efforts I have a question for you I had a solid model, I modeled it as midsurface in the space claim program, but due to the thickness, the edges and faces do not touch each other, in the same way, the surface surfaces do not touch each other, in this case, do I need to extend the edges and surfaces in the space claim program and combine them? Best regards
very good work. I hope you will continue to make high quality videos with so much effort like these. I would like you to make a video about stress singularity and its solutions.
If I want to have a conformal mesh (that is I want the nodes to merge with each other) between shell outside surface and saddle inside surface than how can I do that in Ansys workbench?
You can create form a new part in spacelaim and includes both shell and saddle bodies. Generally shell and saddle are welded, so for shell apporach you need create weld so that all parts are joined toghethor by weld with node merge.
you can create the two surface and create slant surface and assign weld thorat thickness. The shell weld is demostrated thorugh image in ASME section 8 div.2.
We just considered as Yeild stress as allowable stress which is 240 MPa. Yes for SA516GR70 allowable should be near about 138MPa for atmospheric temperature
Check your boundary conditions. Check the connections, use edge display make sure all edges are well connected. Check for any mission contacts. It is simple error, if your model is well connected and proper BC are applied then error will not encoutred furhter.
Hello Chinmay, We do have separate playlist for CAD modeling using design modeler and Spaceclaim. Please visit our channel page and go through different playlist for CAD modeling.
@@graspengineering9249 Hi Sir, I am currently struggling to do stress linearization on shell elements. Can you kindly do a video on stress linearization on shell model. Thank you for your much valuable content.
Hi sir, thank ms for this great video. How to obtain membrane and bendinh stress in shell element? How to do the stress linearization in shell element?
You will directly get option in results for membrane plus bending. For more accurate way, you can write script, we are working on Pressure vessel training course, you can subscribe for insights of pressure vessel simulation.
One cannot obtain ASME or EN3445 Code Check with Ansys - no client can validate your model so it will not pass Inspection. One can export out of Codeware Compress or PVelite into a Solid Model which can go into FEA. So your Workflow is not in sync. Mickey Mouse!
ANSYS is analysis tool. It does no have any ASME code check excpet piping b31.1 in old version. You need to perform FEA using ASNYS and do postprocessing with respect to ASME Design by Analysis Approach.
Wonderful explanation. Thanks to teach us about the nuance of the pressure vessel analysis. Keep posting more videos sir.
Thank you, we will
Thank you so much for such an amazing video. Really thankful. You guys are doing a great job...keep sharing knowledge. Thank you.
Thank you for appreciation !

@@graspengineering9249 If I use share topology in space claim than the overlapping surface will get deleted in mechanical. So how to do it?
how will we handle the fillet welds in a shell modelling approach?
you can create the two surface and create slant surface and assign weld thorat thickness. The shell weld is demostrated thorugh image in ASME section 8 div.2.
Sir, why is your allowable 240 MPa? What material are you assigning? Common materials like ASTM A516 Gr 70 only have 133 MPa as allowable.

Hi, you forgot to add the 3D model from your tutorial on your website. Do you have a link? Would be better to follow the whole course. Thanks!
Their is some technical problem in the blog, will try to resolve soon and will upload more models to practice;
Good tutorial, thank you! Do you have any tutorial for subsea pressure vessel? it has external pressure.
Thank you. Not yet, if you have any inputs, share wit us, will try to upload that video.
Sir, the 2023 version does not have an option for creating new component
You can shift to spaceclaim now. It is very simpler and very useful compare to design modeler
Sorry, can I ask you why it gives me this error: Solver pivot warnings or errors have been encountered during the solution?

Sir can u share cad modeling video of this project and which software you have used for cad model

Thank you very much for the video. Can I use the shell model and perform submodeling for the nozzles? And perform linearization?
Yes, you do stress linearization for shell model too.
@@graspengineering9249 Hi Sir, I am currently struggling to do stress linearization on shell elements. Can you kindly do a video on stress linearization on shell model. Thank you for your much valuable content.
Much awaited video sir. It will be great if you can add post-processing as per ASME for analysis with shell elements.
Thanks ! Will try to upload this video. Meanwhile you can also refer other ASME based videos: th-cam.com/video/NC4j5dWV7aU/w-d-xo.html
Sir could please give me the CAD files. I also want to do the same for my practice.
thank you so much that is very clear and amazing explanation
I am wandering where can I get the cad model in order to practice the lecture?
Welcome ! We will try to upload in our blogpost soon. Link for other cad videos: www.graspengineering.com/category/design/fea-cad-geometry/
Hello sir thanks for the vedio i need this cad geometry for practice where I can get this?
Thank you, We will upload this model in our blogpost.

I have more than 2100 surface structure in geometry if I want to select them at once how to do it...Ctrl is for selecting one by one ??
Control plus mouse first button and drag over all the geometry or right click select all ! or select from tree !
You can use the box selection filter instead of the point/single selection
Great video Sir,
It would be greatful if u create video on shell to solid connection for thermal analysis.
Thank you. Most probably next video (shell to solid sub-modeling)
may I get geometry for Practice
At present we do not have but you can refer grabcad for similar geoemtry
Please share video for same vessel model in space claim
Okay. We will try to upload.
Sir plz upload some videos on CFD in Centrifugal pump efficiency characteristics
Okay !
excelente material
Thank you !
Would you please make a video on geometric non linearity with real time application.
Okay ! soon we will upload few nonlinear analysis.
Good
