Yes, I have this problem too ! My advice is to check your connection between your host machine and netgate server (try ping netgate.com and nslookup netgate.com). Check your DNS server (Is it working ?). Check your pfSense LAN and WAN (like the videos I do, WAN is getting internet from NAT or Bridged in VMware and LAN is VMnet card) Check VMware -> Edit -> Virtual Network Editor. Let me know if you get any trouble.
