My dad got thus truck for me as a gift. A couple weeks into driving it my front control arm under the suspension. This truck is very easy to work on. Great for a first car. Very durable!!!!
I wish i saw this vid before i bought one. I agree with everything you said in this vid! I broke my a arms on my first run, fixed it then the next run steering servo stripped. Just fixed that also. I dont recommend this truck to a beginner.
So you all guys drive extra aggressively? I have the china version of this and it lasted me three months and it still does its job. But i dont jump it. Like, barely a few centimeters off the ground. I drift it a lot but like i dont do much offroading with it.
Could u lower the body a little and put velcro on the sides of the chassis and inside the body to hold down the body and not have to worry about those pesky clips? I did that mod on my mini revo and it works great!
@@MMRC69 It could still be a multitude of things. It could be your drive cups are worn out and is causing it to click. More commonly, it could be the differential going out, which is a common issue
Hi ! What other truck would you recommend in this range prize ? I got my Latrax Teton for literally 3 hours and the suspension arm broke... like seriously. I'm really new to the hobby and I'm scared if I should keep it or send it back.
Unfortunately there's not many options in this small scale of RC. I would need more information for a good recommendation for you. Are you near a physical hobby shop that carries ECX? What is the maximum amount of money you can spend? Are you trying to stay small scale or willing to move up to a larger scale?
@@chibiskyrc I've seen that the Traxxas Mini E REVO can be a great option apparently, does not break as much as the Teton, and is 270 euros, i bought the teton 170, so i don't know if I should put the repairs in the Teton or buy a mini E revo. Oh also I'm from France, there's not a lot of shops there.
@@tolfiboyProduction In that case I think youll be more than happy with the Mini E-Revo brushed edition. That one is $180 and still plenty fast. It's cheaper than the brushless one plus being a bit slower means you wont break nearly as many parts. The Teton will need constant repairs (the motor and diffs) and I don't think it's worth it unless you're specifically looking for a 1/18 scale small car
I have this truck the motor it comes with sucks my balls four times I had to replace it before I got a brushless for it I can’t believe it comes with such a junk when most of the other components are decent
Idk if I agree with that. I say have the parts on hand but drive it stock until things break. You paid for the stock parts so might as well get some use out of them!

Bashed my Teton for years with no failures yet. All I’ve done is invert the shocks and swap to lipo. Love it almost as much as my 1/16 4x4 slash.
Which LiPo are you using? Any other electrical components failed? Done any other upgrades on it? Please share ASAP. Thank you.

It's a shame because theyre one of the best driving platforms in the segment
Im so glad I got the hot 🔥 🥵 pink!! It Rocks

How are the plastic interior parts hold up ?

I’m watching as I’m considering getting a smaller travel RC car to use in caravan parks.
Ooh wow that’s nice how much is that and can you make it brushless? Thanks
I paid $130 for it. You can't make it brushless without modification unless you somehow find a 370 brushless motor with the correct size shaft
@@chibiskyrc ok nice cool thanks!
whats does it mean when you hear a rubbing sound when it drives?
It depends. More specific information is needed
@@chibiskyrc Its rubbing on the axle kinda like clicking.

What savox servo did u use? I got one for my mini revo but its a little to big, 0250mg I think is what I got
Savox SH-0255MG Micro metal gear servo

Would it allow for a slightly larger brushed motor? Tryin to find something for my niece but people mention motors dying
You'd need to make custom modifications to make larger motors fit
The motor dies because no one oils the motor bushings. They last a long time if you do.
New motor oem are only 10 dollars and very easy to replace

How fast is it? Cuz I just got one.
About 20mph
