How to weld a simple bird using cutlery (fun short time lapse video)

    I know it’s MIG but what kind of wire and gas are you using and also what are your parameters on the machine?

      I have been trying it on a mig. I am using 184 ipm and 18 volts. Not sure what the gas is though, but probably argon. It seems like all spot welds. My cutlery is stainless steel, so I have a fume hood just above the bird

    Taking a Mig welding class. I was trying to build one of these in class. Bought the cutlery on amazon. I couldn't see good enough on the iphone screen that you welded the knife to the spoon handle inside. I welded it to the eye. Ooops!

    It would be nice if you would show me step-by-step rather than in fast forward video then result was nice though

      You can change the video speed. Lower right on video frame is a gear icon. Click that and look for playback speed.

    Love ur vids but can't watch them slow them down and do more close ups I like to see more details and close ups

      A while back you told me you do this full time now. Is this still the case and has it been worth it. I'm asking because I retired at the end of March and may try my hand at metal sculpture. My shop is fully equipped, just need some inspiration.

      Hi again i've collected it over many years, i get the cutlery from boot sales or actions, charity shops etc, sometimes people just give me stuff.
