    I had 2 crushed discs and severe stenosis and compression. Big time pain after sitting or sleeping. Had the disc replacements, spine fusion and stenosis removal in January 21. Not pleasant but I walked from day 1 and now golfing and active again. Do it!

    I have a 93 percent curve and it's really hard to breath when I straighten my back.i was working with a coworker that had 68 percent curve and he went brain dead on table Im alot younger then him he was 42 I'm 30 but I'm wondering if I do surgery and end up parlazied or brain dead can I sign a waiver that I can be killed ? So I don't have to wake up without legs or sit on a tube? I'd rather just die. Is there. Legal form? Bc that's all that scares me to get it...is what everyone tells me..or have rods that slip when it rains they say there rods slip and it's like getting stabed out of shoulder with 3 inch stab wounds out of shoulders ...so I'm just wondering is there a waver and has medical Tec come father then 6 years ago? Like do the rods still slip?

    I had a lumbar laminectomy and fusion about a month ago. Omg it was brutal the moment I was in the recovery room. I was on pca pump for 12 hrs with pain killer stronger than morphine and boy did it still hurt. The next day after they remove the pump and give you oral oxy the pain was horrible. Forget about getting out of bed the first time. I cried and in a lot of pain and frustrated. The first week and a half is brutal. I’ll tell you that.
    One advice I can say even though in a lot of pain WALK WALK WALK! It helps. TBH it’s really what you make of it.
    Most importantly stop when your body says so.
    You will feel stiff. Don’t bend twist or lift!
    It gets better. I am still walking with a cane here and there.

    I had a l4 l5 s1 discs tiny but the l4l5 failed with a collapsed disk but my question is is it safe just to fuse the l4 l 5 without the l5 s1im afraid that the lower lumbar l5 s1will fail is there justifiable worry with this

    • @edwardschlosser1
      @edwardschlosser1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Your question is, for the most part, incomprehensible. What in the world could "tiny" mean? What do you mean by "failed". That word is used twice without any specificity. What disc "collapsed?" I'm an L3-L4-L5-L6(sacralized) fusion and retired medical researcher. I can interpret some of your question in about 3 different ways, and some of it is simply uninterpretable. I want to help you, but I'm going to have to make many assumptions. If the hardware was implanted properly, and the bone is fusing, and your anatomy does not include a sacralized vertebrae, you have no need to worry about the S-L5 level. If by "failed" at the L5-L4 you mean that the disc immediately above the fusion level herniated than you mean disc at the L4-L3 herniated. If this disc was bulging or in sponylolistsis prior to the surgery it "failed" simply because it could not handle the added force a double fusion placed on it. Was the S-L5 level done, or not. If you only fuse the L4-L5 than of course the disc under that can herniate. My S(L6 sacralized)-L5-L4 held up just fine for 5 years. The L4-L3 was done 2 months ago, and the added stress on the disc at the L3-L2 caused it to herniate in just days, and the reason is because the L3 was in anteriorlistesis 10 mm, but the L2 was also in anteriorlistesis 6 mm. The surgeon should have done both levels. I requested that both be done, but he talked me out of it. I should have been more forceful in insisting he do it my way. What could have been done in one surgery will now take two.
