It is actually created by Martijn Konijnenburg. Like many of the mainstream EDM DJ's Kygo bought the rights to the song, therefore he does not deserve credits for writing the track.

"But when I sent it to Kygo he made it all tropical, and at first it was so far from what I thought it was going to be, that I didn't like it," Sewell continued. "Not that I didn't like it, but it seemed unfamiliar. You obviously have a vision for a song when you write it, but then after the third listen I was in love with it because it was the polar opposite."

I love kygo, he is one of my inspirations. But you need to understand what music is, and that what he is doing is not difficult. What makes kygo special is his ear. He has an incredible ear for note variation within those 4 chords. I just see fan boy shit like this and I cringe so I had to say something. He for sure knows he is nothing special. He knows that his talent is in his ear, not in his hands. If you dont understand what im talking about, please ask more and I will try to explain what I mean.

Nice Doctor if you listen closely you can tell his left hand is pretty much just playing 4 chords, so by learning 4 major chords and pressing the white keys in any random order you can sound like a pro

It's really not difficult to play a piano. If you can type on a keyboard at a good rate the you probably play a piano. You just need to give in time.
