What he said about the first 80% taking a year and the last 20% taking a lifetime is so true ! This man is a both a genius and a legend, would love to see him live one day
I dont mean to be off topic but does anybody know a method to log back into an Instagram account? I somehow lost my login password. I appreciate any help you can give me.
fanned frets , once you get used to them, are very ergonomically comfortable....ie your wrist is in a much more natural position when you play . Most often found on bass guitars.
absolute beast player. in the video description, probably more accurate to call him a session player. he can play jazz but he can also play just about everything else
Seen this dude live twice back in the 90s, once with the trio, the other with the quartet. It was the first multi-scale fretboard I ever saw. Now they're everywhere, at least in Metal (Djent). Still, no Metal dudes can work it like him. "Mind-boggling" is right!
Now I just need to know if he plays with nails or not... I have a seven string Schecter, in which I have incorporated many of the right hand techniques he mentioned. I use my nails for the index and middle and the fleshy part of the thumb to play bass notes.

"Contrapuntally" he says when my mind is already blown by his fretboard and fingerwork🎉😮🎉
Wooow 10 yrs later and he references Tuck of Tuck and Patty 🤯 BRAVO
Great term groove-aliciousness!

Awesome channel, awesome instructor, and awesome guitar. 7-strings have so much more potential than heavy metal.
Hunter is UN-FREAKING-BELIEVABLE!!!!
It's stunning technique and crazy good music. Very accessible to ears that are used to listening to blues and not crazy abstract outside jazz.

Tosinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnabasi
azzans I don't know what that means. Is that a musician I should google or something?
Golgotha_Mythos69
Yeah he's a very interesting 8 string player. He's a metal guitarist, with heavy influences from Allan Holdsworth.
azzans Oh cool! I'll check it out. Thanks.
azzans Oh, the dude from "Animals as Leaders"? Of course! LOVE that band.
unreal 🔥🔥
This guy's a beast!!
my favourite guitar alien
Tuck Andress is scary good. Check out his version of "Man In The Mirror"
That bop solo around 3:10... man its all so seemless. That dude is doin' the same thing Jimmy Smith for organ, on guitar. Crazy.
Amazing
3:30 JAW DROPPED!! :O
Someone release that damn snare!
he does that so casually... wow
Mind-boggling
Holy shit he's just crazy talented!
es muy fácil para él!is very easy for him!
After hearing *The Root
D'Angleo* had to find the playa Charlie Hunter on that track.

Just saw him play tonight, and from up close. No fingernails involved!
Someone left a snare drum on so I keep hearing a buzz in the background of this video... once I noticed it I couldn't stop noticing it.
So you have to tell us that, and now we also get annoyed... 😁
Just kidding, man.
GROOVALICIOUS!
hes been playing for a while
RIGHT

What in the funk
Sometimes I do this "playing basslines and lead guitar" at the same time unconsciously

What is this sorcery?

Actually Charlie has two.

Jesus Loves You
Dat thumb
@ledzeppelin4485 That's a 7.
What’s so sad is that this guy chuck is so rhythmically challenged. One day he’s gonna get good I feel. Lol
