It is a "server redeem" on the private server we have been keeping playing the game on. The server has a dashboard with a shop where one can activate different things with collected coins and RTA Challenge is one of them, mostly meant for single player usage but it can be activated with others in the match too. Check smb35server.com if interested, you need an old enough Switch to be able to run it. Emulation on PC seems to be around the corner too.
