I played in Del's band back in 77-78... one of the only piano players he ever had. My first job in Nashville. What an initiation - ha! But what great memories... I knew a lot of these people here from the Opry. And anytime Del and Tater got together... was a freakin' riot :-) ...
I've got so many questions about, in my opinion, great singers from the Opry and weather you've known them or not and could say something about them😁. Jean Shepard, Gene Watson, Connie Smith, John Conlee, Bill Anderson, Ed Bruce and so many others I can't think off right now
I remember Dell Reeves from when I was a little girl and my Daddy listened to his records. Wonderful singer, as well as some of the others here.
We've missed Faron for so long now, and now we have to miss Little JImmy too. Jimmy Dickens made every attempt to make our lives brighter, and he suceeded. Bless his precious so loved little heart. The Opry will never be able to replace him. never.

They should have told the one where Hank Williams pulled a gun on faron young and took his girlfriend. She ended up married to hank when he died. The red head . Billy Jean I think?
What kind of a man was jimmy?
Short and funny.
Always had a joke to tell, always had a song to sing, and if he wasn't making memories with the singers and the band, he was sharing stories about everyone on the Opry from Hank Sr. to Carrie Underwood, and everyone in between.
