What's kind of board marker that we can use to draw a face or anything in the balloons

Sharpie markers work fine just ensure the markers do not contain alcohol so the balloons will not pop.

Do you think it might be easier and less prone to close quarters balloon-bursting to make the hands separately then just twist the pinch twists into the body? I think I'd turn the ears into palm tree twists, more like cat ears. I'd also not have this static chubby body, I'd go for loose arms & legs cos he's always whizzing around not sat on his sofa watching TV, lol! I could see this design easily adapted to make Santa : )
