1) Don't buy everything too cheap. Cheap is cheap for a reason.
2) Not following a color pallette.
3) Buying the wrong size of furniture.
-Usually what looks good in your smaller apartment does not look good in a home that has a larger space. Vice versa.
4) Not measuring! ❌ 📏
Know how much space you have. Refrain from buying too small/large.
Write down measurements for each room on phone.
5) Getting "too trendy." 🔥
Trends go out of style. Keeping up constantly with the trends
gets 💲💲💲
6) Buying everything at the same store. (It's a no-no.)
Everything can be matchy-matchy.
Spending more money by not shopping around.
7) Allowing the sales person to convince you to spend too much.
8) Not looking for sales.
9) Not considering delivery. 🚛
- Plan ahead and consider the cost.
10) Feeling like you have to buy everything right now.
-Take your time. Find out what you like and create a home you love.

What do you suggest to avoid those delays??
The biggest mistake you can make when buying furniture for your first home is buying furniture at a retail store. If it's your first home, chances are you don't bring in over 100k in a year. A 2500 square foot house, if furnished with brand new stuff, costs 20k on the low end. So for the 90% of you that have nothing left after your first home purchase, get on FB marketplace and be smart about it. Buy shiny new stuff when you can pay for it in cash. Or finance everything new for your new house. BTW that's a 400 dollar payment every month for the next 5 years if you get the best deal ever. My 3 cents.

This is really well done. I was trying to tell my friend this stuff when she bought her new home. She didn't believe in expensive furniture because she was so used to moving and tossing furniture. Thanks for this video.
I'm going to buy the cheaper furniture at first, as time goes on, you can always update when something that is expensive is on sale.
number 1 , I get what your saying but fashions change so fast , and some really start annoying you , my tip I am but a couch you can change up with colourd cushions or throws ,
2 , spend the most money on a really comfy bed , you spend alot of time asleep as n we all need rest now more then ever!
3 , don't go grazy in sales , you'll of bought it cheap then wish you never bought it in the first place
4 when you first move in just but the ESSENSIALS ! SOFA , BED , ESSENTSIAL KITCHEN WARE, ECT
5 DONT GET CAUGHT UP IN BRIGHT COLORS, KEEP YOU ROOMS AND FURNITURE NEUTRAL AND ADD COLOUR WITH SOFT FURNISH WHICH CAN BE EASILY CHANGED WITH YOUR MOOD .
6 AVOID FIXED FURNITURE , YOU WILL GET TIRED AND WANT SWITCH YOUR ROOM AROUND AT SOME TIME , SO BUY FREE STANDING !
