Defined "earned". I'm a nice person, albeit modest, have worked hard for well over 40 years. For about 30 years I worked two jobs. If you compare the amount of ACTUAL work done, I most definitely have him beat. I can hardly afford my rent & car payment, but I can honestly say I don't mind living modestly. Growing up in Orlando during the Shaq years I have a lot of friends who dealt with him as waiters, valets, cab drivers, etc. I never met him, but EVERY single person knew who did said he couldn't have been nicer and the minimum tip was always $100. I've never been a big fan, especially after he ditched my Orlando Magic for the Lakers.... but I gotta give credit where it's due. He's a good dude.

When he was inducted into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame in Natchitoches, LA, he drove himself up to the red carpet, not in a limousine but him behind the wheel. Yeah he spoils his kids, but what parent doesn’t? He is a stand up guy!

I like the fact you can buy shoes with Shaq's name on them at the store for $30 or less and they're very good quality. I usually can't afford Air Jordans, LeBron James shoes, or Kobe Bryant shoes because they're almost always $150 or more and they've never lasted me more than a year.
