A WINTER WEEKEND AROUND NORTH YORKSHIRE! Castle Howard, Wonka Movie & Festive Season In York

Spend a weekend around North Yorkshire with my best friend Izzy and I! We saw the new Wonka Movie at the cinema, and visited the Christmas in Neverland exhibition at Castle Howard. We also tried (and failed) to visit Thor's in York, battled through the Christmas crowds, and had plenty of the usual accessibility and chronic illness shenanigans you may have come to expect. Hello! My name is Pippa Stacey and I’m a disabled writer, presenter, and communications consultant based in York. I enjoy theatre, books, and fundraising, and can most often be found wearing some form of pyjamas and drinking all the tea.
I acquired my chronic illness as a young adult and struggle daily with the challenges of living my best life alongside managing a debilitating health condition. Another lovely vlog, my son is actually attending university in New York since September this year. Sadly I haven’t been well enough to visit York, so it’s nice to see the town and area on your videos. Sorry you’re not feeling Christmassy but it’s totally understandable, I lost my mum a few years back and the first Christmas without her was very strange. now I’m finding Christmas hard for other reasons, mainly the fact that I am too exhausted to really enjoy it.
