It’s a beautiful Birkin. I don’t necessarily agree with saying to people that buying pre-owned is not recommended, but you bought it pre-owned....also, there are many reputable sellers on eBay that have Birkins, Kelly’s, and other top tier bags that are authentic and at good prices. To each there own - get third party authentication no matter where you buy from - whether it’s Fashionphile, eBay, Rebag, The Real Real, etc.... Your Birkin is perfect for YOU, other people might love a 35 or a 40 or a “crazy” color, and that’s ok. Congrats on the bag.
i know these bags are an investment and can be resold for high prices but honestly they’re such an ugly purse to me 😭😭 i truly don’t get the hype surrounding the actual bag design 😂
I walked into the Hermes Seattle store asking for an Evelyne TPM mini in green or orange and the sales associate looked at me and was like "Oh, we don't see those colors very often" then she showed me a Etoupe colored mini and I said I like it but I want green or orange. Then she said that the colors are seasonal and are typically planned in advance / ordered in advance. She said she wasn't sure it would be possible but took my information down in an e-form via an ipad. I took her buisness card and emailed her my info once again asking for green or orange. Almost 2 months later, she emailed back saying a green one came in and that it's reserved for me to come pick up. So I walk in later that evening and purchased it. I had no purchase history with Hermes. I thought I had a great experience and ended up getting what I wanted.
That's awesome you got an evelyne you love! I love that bag. It's really mainly the kellys and the birkins that I was speaking to in this video. They actually do have a lot of other styles of bags in stores that are more readily available, but as you said, not usually in the colors or sizes always. That's what happened with my Garden Party bag I spoke about in the video. I got lucky with it too! I went in and they had one 30 and one 36 in black they had just gotten in that day and I snagged the 30! So it just depends.

And I like how you look in the outro better than the video. You seem very natural and beautiful. The botox is way too much and makes your face look puffy. You don't have wrinkles without it. Just let it go
I think a lot of these difficulties in getting what you want are a myth. You do not need to build up a history buying a ton of stuff before they deem you good enough. The system now is you register your preference, and they contact you if they get something close and you may have to go in and look at it a couple of times before you get your perfect one. My friend just got her etoupe 35 that way. It’s not that hard just requires patience. You don’t have to dress up or be a certain status. You don’t have to say yes when they show you a crazy one they will still call you again in a couple of months. It’s fine to buy preloved but a Birkin? No way too risky, just be patient and get the advice and expertise in the store.
Exactly. But, like I said, for a bag that is in a pretty basic color/size/etc (a popular combo), the chances of one going to you is pretty rare. Then they have to decide to contact you specifically especially if it's one that many people want. It just depends! You could get lucky! It's all about what you personally want to do. And that's why I kept saying I can't endorse looking for one pre owned even though I did because it worked out crazy well for me, but I know that's not always the case.

I was in Moscow in a Hermes store several years ago, the associate told me that they have plenty of bags in the back. The scarcity is totally fabricated.

Very true, it’s all about the relationship. I purchased 2 scarves over a period of 6 months, (1 scarf for Mother’s Day and the other for my birthday) put my name down for 1 specific color and size bag and within a month I received a call and got the exact birkin I wanted. A year later I returned to Hermes store, purchased a bracelet, put my name down for a specific Kelly bag size and color. After a few months, and less than $1000 in purchase received another call and got the exact color and size combination for the Kelly I wanted. So it is all about the relationship you have with the associate. And I think my associate also felt that I was genuinely buying stuff I liked , I wasn’t buying thousands of dollars worth of merchandise just because I wanted a bag. I spent less than 2k in the store over the course of 2 yrs and was offered the exact bags I wanted.
1000% - it really has nothing to do with how big one's bank account is, how much one spends nor what one is wearing - length of time, having an awesome SA (AND staying with same SA) and appreciting the brand which the SA's know very well who is who....been a customer for decades + yes have brought my twins into store in basically all wearing jammies! lol with that said, the location matters a bit as well, some more chill than others - xx

I know what you mean. I have a Birkin 35 and it does feel like luggage. I absolutely hate it. It is heavy, the flap is always in the way so it stays tucked in which is not cute. It looks better out. And the straps are always in the way. I got it because of the hype, not because it’s easy to use. In retrospect I would have probably been happier with a Kelly (no wrestling with flaps and straps). And in a smaller size
I don't know anything about designer bags. I watched your videos because I like you so that's all my knowledge lol. But why will someone buy a bag and then sell it without even open it? I hope the question is not coming off as rude because is really not I just wonder. Is that something common is it part of the "business" of designer handbags? Again asking genuinely for curiosity.
Be careful with the lock. It can swing and leave a mark on the bag . It’s a gorgeous bag.

Congratulations Tiffany! It's beautiful. I just purchased a "pre-owned" Birkin 25 in black with gold hardware--soooo hard to get in store but that's what I wanted. It is brand, spanking new and I paid quite a premium. I don't care--I would have spent that much in store on random stuff just to get offered something with no guarantee that it would be what I want. I will probably purchase my next bag in store with less pressure and more flexibility. Enjoy in good health!!

You can get the bag you want, Hermes, LV, Chanel, etc from Julia Rose Boston on Instagram. She sells new or slightly used designer items (complete with tags, box, bag, etc). You don't have to spend more on a brand new one in the store. She can get them for you and save thousands of dollars. Jade Scott of Instagram just bought a chanel from her!

Congratulations on your beautiful Birkin! 🤗 I agree 💯 about not compromising what you really want just to get an in-store bag. Seems frivolous. I actually removed the lock from my Kelly bag as it stretches and wears out the leather clochette. The glaze will get stripped over time. If it happens, the Leather Surgeons does an amazing job with repairs 👍🏻
I recently sold all of my leather designer bags this year their are so many great Vegan leather options out there they hold up and last longer!!

Hermes is my favorite brand simply because of the quality. I've purchased a few things from Fashionphile and had a great experience. You should look into 7RP for an insert for your Birkin. The inserts help keep the shape over time.

You don’t pay the same price as you do in a store!! You pay a premium and it’s 5-7k over retail.. please stop saying you pay the same as in the store! The reason people buy from the store is because it’s actually a lot less than on the second hand market.
Yes! I actually said that. I said you DONT Get a deal buying preowned. You end up paying the same or more in most cases, like I mentioned. Its really something to look in to if you can't get the item you want in an actual store. xo

I was told in Singapore that one needs to spend a certain amount of $$ to be able to “qualify” for a birkin. So I Guess it’s changed now ? I hope so. Basically it’s the relationship with the SA is it?
honestly it seems like it works different everywhere from what I've been told by US sa's and from what I've heard of others' experiences in other countries. My point was in the video is that it's not some strict formula or set process. I feel like they basically do what they want.
