I met Krist Novoselic in Washington DC, in 2013, at a fair Vote convention. We hung out, ate cake and shot the shit for a couple hours. I didn’t really mention Kurt to him. I just wanted to be in the presence of one of my favorite bassist. Felt like I was hanging with an old friend. He gave me a kiss on the cheek before I left.
Amazing. Just amazing. I'd love to meet krist. He's so modest and funny. Never an ounce of pretentiousness and never has forgotten his roots in Washington.
While I'm sure you're right about that, I also think alot of that prob has to do with just the fact that he's much older and mature now. Hardly recognize him without the bass hanging down by his ankles lol
People always say that under every video with these guys but at the same time people gotta realize that most everyone eventually moves on after losing a loved one--I realized this when I lost my Mother, as much as I love her. Sure, when I think about it it still hurts, but over time stuff gets better-- and in this particular case we're talking almost 30 years. Krist has matured, went to college after Nirvana, he's a much older guy now and mostly lives a quite life in a rural area--He's into politics, flying his airplanes and he plays in a weird hippie bluegrass band for fun. And oh, by the way, did I mention he's super loaded? Just from his Nirvana days alone he's still worth tens of millions of dollars (apparently he was smart with his money)👍
Dave is so awesome. He was born to rock and roll to the very fullest and he does it all the time. I'm glad he got so much footage of him in rehearsals like for live and loud where everyone's just standing around just listening to sound quality and levels and and stuff and not looking very showey but Dave would be exactly how he was during the show. Just bashing the hell out of the drums.

Dave said he cant listen to nirvana songs even now since he always gets sad. I believe the same would go for performing them. As much as i would love to hear it, i kinda respect his choice on this.
