There are a lot of good things about Tory Burch- the quality seems good for the price, her the runway looks are excellent and the sales staff in the stores I’ve been in have been great. I’ve always hated the logo though- and it’s huge and obvious on most of the pieces. It’s like wearing a sign that says “LOOK AT ME! I’M WEARING TORY BURCH!”
Exactly they'll make a good leather bag then destroy it with a loud logo its a turn off what's wrong with just putting the logo inside the bag for Pete's Sake
You hit the nail on the head when you mentioned that brands often have to sacrifice quality for a higher volume of sales. When a brand seeks to expand its market share, the brand should keep an eye on the quality of what’s being produced. It’s true that quality issues can occur with any brand. But where’s the quality assurance that should keep these poor quality items from reaching the stores and their customers? Also, every customer complaint is an opportunity for service recovery. The customer’s complaints should be quickly acknowledged and addressed and things should be e made right for the customer as much as it’s possible to do so.

I’ve actually noticed that the quality of the bags has improved. I scratched a bag in store a year or so ago and noticed a similar bag didn’t scratch when I picked it up in store within a week ago. I have 2 Tory bags I purchased within the past 6 months and am happy with them, but wouldn’t have purchased a year plus ago.
Never had any quality issues, not with her bags, shoes, jewellery or clothes. All of it was and still is in perfect condition and I love wearing all of it. As for customer service: I only ever went into a TB boutique once and I was not impressed. The SAs were sitting around a coffee table chatting. I bought my stuff online.
I agree with everything you wrote. The SAs at my location are very snobby and rude, and they seem visibly annoyed if I ever enter the store with my very well-behaved children. I stopped going into the stores and only order online now and always with a positive experience.
My Tory Burch bags from 2020 are excellent quality. They did not scratch easily. I have a leather TB backpack with daily use and no scratches. The bags are lambskin. The hardware has not tarnished either. I think they are excellent quality. The service has always been excellent in the boutique in Palm Beach Gardens store. I have had no issues with the company.
I was just at Tory Burch a couple of weeks ago and received really good service. The employees went out of their way to meet my need for the gift I wanted to get. And for my own gift, I got a bag and the quality was really good. Not sure what this video against TB
You think playing mind games with it's customers is a little messed up? Seriously? Thats horrible to do, creating a false sense of scarcity to make their bags more desirable is messed up. Hiking up prices so that only a select few could afford their bags is messed up. Making customers spend thousands of dollars before being able to get a bag is messed up. Not defending anyones behavior or brand here but if you're going to look past a brands actions and behavior only to criticize another brand for that same thing isn't fair.
I haven't had this experience with the items I have purchased from Tory Burch. I have a pair of wedges that I have had recapped because I wore them frequently, getting compliments (mostly from men) every time I wear them. The tote I have is a workhorse. Not every product made will be great, but for the price point, I have been pleased.
The last few runway seasons- I’d say since around 2019, have been absolutely stellar in design. I’ve become a huge fan of hers because of those shows. My only gripe is that she does not release a lot from each season, and it’s always whenever. Never a set time. As a potential buyer, I want to buy as soon as I see the show, not a year later with no scheduled date. As for quality, I’ve never liked her low-end pieces that I’m pretty sure make up the most of her sales- cheaper bags and sandals, AKA her bread and butter, which I get. A lot of brands do that. I just wish she would abandon the low-end stuff and produce only from her runway. She’s clearly got magic and I think with enough focus (and funding!) for runway, she can soon become one of the top fashion houses in the world. And if she keeps it up, I think she will be.
I have 2 TB handbags that I bought from Farfetch and very happy with both. Decent quality leather, I use them as everyday bags and no wear and tear that I can see. We don't have a TB where I live so can't comment on the customer service.
When I worked at Nordstrom in the Handbag department, I saw first-hand just how shoddy the handbags are. Her brand is really popular where I live on Philly’s Main Line. The leather is not top-notch. The designs are knocked off from luxury brands. TB is a bridge brand-the bridge between affordable and luxury. The bags and shoes are incredibly overpriced. I managed to buy a pair of Miller sandals because I liked the aesthetic. The sandals stretched out so much within a month that I can no longer wear them. Add to that the leather-or whatever it was, started to peel. Not a fan at all!
I’ve owned a few of her bags the gold leather one all the gold leaf rubbed off, the tote strap broke at the T I wouldn’t buy from them again.. however her riding boots are chefs kiss
I just wanted to come here to say that she completely cultured appropriated Portuguese clothing and called it Mexican inspiration. Disgusting. If there is any reason to cancelled someone for culture appropriation, this is it
In main while I have a pair of flats that I bought at Ross when I was pregnant with my daughter who is now 19yo. Even the gold bucket still intact, of course it made 4 trips to the shoe store to change soles, but the leather and the fit still standing, so I don't mind paying 25$ for new soles every 4 or 5 years

The new Soft Fleming leather is much thinner than the Original Double Stitched Fleming.
And She doesn’t pay her employees well. Especially at the outlets!!. We’re helping her make her rich while her paying her employees chump change.
