Always adjust out the play when the cam pin is in the center of the worm. This is where the wheels would be pointing straight if the coulmn was mounted on the tractor. Ross machines the worm gear to allow a little play when the wheels are turned left or right.
My 1450 has a bucket loader on it. It will turn left but not go right , so I can dig a pond if it's round right...lol I haven't had a chance to pull it apart but intend to very soon. Just ran across a 1000 that has sat for years. I'm guessing it will fire right up when I get to it allso. Truck driver and don't get all garage time I would like for sure.
when i was on a trail with my cub cadet 100 when i went to turn the wheel it started to twist out and the wheels didn't move at all then stopped do you know what might have happened
