I heard this once from a fisherman probably your grandpa, I grew up watching him! Love that guy! I’m 69 yrs old now! lol! But I thought I’d share it with you and Raff. The fish are like people they have to eat 3 meals a day, so all we have to do is get a reservation at the restaurant! Cause that’s where the bait is! That’s where the bass will be! lol, good luck! Wow, how awesome to fish your first real tournament Hillary!! This was the best video yet...and what a great finish guys. Hillary you even got to cull your first tourney fish. You were both excellent, focused, and keeping each others emotions in check without getting discouraged. Very proud of ya'all most excellent! Crazy how when I first got into watching bass videos and bass masters, I was watching Roland and then Scott and now Hilary. I feel really old lol looking forward to more great fishing content from the next Martin champ.

It’s a breath of fresh air watching the pure joy on your face when you bring one in. Your vids just keep getting better and better.
First off, I'd like to say you guys did a great job for your first derby!! Secondly you sure have watched your dad and Grandpa with those hook sets. I see grown men that can't set a good the hard!! You probably have 2 of the best fishermen on your guys side, use them both!! As someone has already stated in another comment I have watched your grandpa since I was old enough to understand bass fishing and I honestly don't think I would be watching one if his grandchildren fish tourneys. Again I would just like to congratulate you guys for really sticking with it and learning from your mistakes after a very hard day 1. I have seen grown men have a meltdown after missing a couple good fish, I have done it .myself. but great job because you guys never let it stop you. Sorry so long of a post. We had our first tournament today. My son lost 2 for certain bass and a 3rd unknown on his last cast. We know your pain. Caught stripers, sandies, and hooked a turtle in his back leg. Good luck to y'all.

At 11:24 or so when he said we still have tomorrow I got so excited and did a fist bump in the air lol. I just started culinary school after 20 years in the military and being retired from that for five years. You kept a cool head and you have a great partner there so just keep grinding! We have another year in Miami before my wife gets new orders so I hope to make it up to that area soon and get my PB on OKEE... 7.3 is my LMB 6.7 is my peacock record. I could retire again if I get a 10 plus LMB for sure. Tight lines and positive vibes!!! Cant wait to watch the rest I paused it at we got another day!

Time of year, what the winners did to catch their fish. What baits worked for you. Lake conditions. The learning never ends. I am sure your dad has told you that. And also CONGRATS to Scott Martin for making his 1st Bassmasters Classic. I was wondering how that event was ending up. Will be watching for sure. Keep the videos coming. Love watching them.

Went out on the South end of the St. John's (a ramp in Debary) today, 9/28, but the water was so high we couldn't pin them down. Didn't even see a gar the whole day. Wish we has some of that wind you guys experienced today. Thanks for sharing your event with us. Also congrats to Scott on his placement in the Classic.
