I am a doctor. And I disagree with 13:20 onwards. Although i havent seen the film, i can say on first hand there was an international push against Covaxin. So I'd disagree that this film is CREATING a new narrative of us vs them. It was always about us vs them. Now whether this is anti national or lack of phase 4 data at the time is very debatable, but COVID was an emergency situation, and the clinical trials were needed to be accelerated. Also if you think Efficacy data is something very basic in clinical trials, you need a reality check my friend. Yes, Covaxin didnt produce phase 4 data when it initially launched! But internally data is ALWAYS available. Thats how clinical trials work. Expecially during covid crisis there was no time to wait to get approved using the" standard approach". Basically- there has always been a Us VS Them narrvative field across the pharma industry, i dont know why you'd call this a "zhoot" narrative.

It should be made compulsory for every politicians that they should get their treatment from govt hospitals. And not even central govt hospitals like aiims..but the state govt hospitals..the tertiary care centres. Only way some accountability can be brought in. I started my internship just when the 2nd wave hit. I saw the horrors with my own eyes in the wards. The lack of beds and oxygen...we had to keep switching the oxygen supply from one patient to other continuously while checking their spo2 levels. It was just a nightmare. And I can't forget our how the vaccines were held back so that they can be launched as a 'gift' for the nation on our beloved leader modiji's bday. I can cut some slack for the bjp for the 1st wave. As no one in living memory had experienced such a disease at this scale. As Manoj jha said it was a collective failure of all govts. Not one has focused on health infra. Not one. And no, being better than congress isn't enough or even a benchmark. But the bjp is to be blamed completely for the second wave. They knew another wave was coming and it was going to be more dangerous. But they prioritised kumbh melas and election rallies. Even congress took out rallies ffs. And now that we are out of danger, I see no drastic steps taken to improve the health infra of this country. My clg and hospital got a big beautiful arch. That's it. And I was lucky that I had the privilege I had direct access to them and I took direct medical advice from them. Good analysis but Serum Institute did not replicate the Astra Zeneca vaccine. The vaccine platform was freely shared by Oxford with Serum Institute and then Serum Institute multiplied it to world record numbers which is credible.

I am a doctor. And I disagree with 13:20 onwards. Although i havent seen the film, i can say on first hand there was an international push against Covaxin. So I'd disagree that this film is CREATING a new narrative of us vs them. It was always about us vs them. Now whether this is anti national or lack of phase 4 data at the time is very debatable, but COVID was an emergency situation, and the clinical trials were needed to be accelerated. Also if you think Efficacy data is something very basic in clinical trials, you need a reality check my friend. Yes, Covaxin didnt produce phase 4 data when it initially launched! But internally data is ALWAYS available. Thats how clinical trials work. Expecially during covid crisis there was no time to wait to get approved using the" standard approach". Basically- there has always been a Us VS Them narrvative field across the pharma industry, i dont know why you'd call this a "zhoot" narrative.
He didn't talk about how moderna and pfizer was lobbying against covaxin so that poor countries can't receive cheap vaccines from india. It should be made compulsory for every politicians that they should get their treatment from govt hospitals. And not even central govt hospitals like aiims..but the state govt hospitals..the tertiary care centres. Only way some accountability can be brought in.
I started my internship just when the 2nd wave hit. I saw the horrors with my own eyes in the wards. The lack of beds and oxygen...we had to keep switching the oxygen supply from one patient to other continuously while checking their spo2 levels. It was just a nightmare.
And I can't forget our how the vaccines were held back so that they can be launched as a 'gift' for the nation on our beloved leader modiji's bday.
I can cut some slack for the bjp for the 1st wave. As no one in living memory had experienced such a disease at this scale.
As Manoj jha said it was a collective failure of all govts. Not one has focused on health infra. Not one. And no, being better than congress isn't enough or even a benchmark.
But the bjp is to be blamed completely for the second wave. They knew another wave was coming and it was going to be more dangerous. But they prioritised kumbh melas and election rallies. Even congress took out rallies ffs.
And now that we are out of danger, I see no drastic steps taken to improve the health infra of this country. My clg and hospital got a big beautiful arch. That's it. Of course there's a lot of corruption at the state and even at the hospital management level, but it's ultimately the responsibility of the prime minister to make sure the healthcare is of top quality.

When you talk about Rohini's character you don't mention that although the government has cleared that Moderna & Pfizer vaccines were rejected based on three facts, 1. sovereign indemnity 2. Very High cost 3. Ultra-cold storage, some sections of the media were hell-bent on buying these and constantly making allegations that Indian government is deliberately letting people die. Oxford Astra vaccine cannot save people. One of my relative got that vaccine and got COVID afterwards. After spending a fortune for treatment in the best private hospital in Calcutta he died.
