I want to defend the way Rell walks, because I'm actually amazed that the devs did their research on this one. Wearing heavy armor and carrying a heavy weapon (especially a lance) on a battlefield is hard. Staying on your feet when dismounted, as a knight, requires a broad stance. If Rell were on a battlefield, her stance would allow her to keep her feet during the lunges and long stabs she's performing with her dismounted lance. Moving with her stance wide like that means she can hold her feet against surprising maneuvers from her enemy. Top notch animation.
You're not wrong but also its still the same animation I would pick for a toddler with a very full diaper
Nobody plays league because one character is moderately thematically correct when nearly every other one is wildly off thematically.
They can barely afford new visuals with new abilities anyway
Tho I do like the classy dnd paladin vibe she gives off.
Zwag had the right idea giving back her movement when she runs back to an ally. Making it easier to survive trades.
Her walking diaper animation needs to be stopped
Q visual effect is really cool. I wish they did this with strong moves for most of champs, like shyvana's E in wild rift
I mean it’s not just a visual effect it’s actually part of the ability,now Rell slightly moves forward when using Q.
@@ATMEIDAREYAIDOUBLEDAREYA yeah she moves 100 units, and now Q takes longer too, and is shorter, which doesn't makes too much sense when you think about but it's for balance reasons
Well just look at damage it can make in late game. You should greatful it very short and take time to pull off lol

For anyone wanting to pick Rell up, her full combo has pretty much 0 counterplay.
Use E and either flash in or jump from over a wall, and *mid-jump* you're going to ult. That way, your ult keeps enemies there until you land. Auto and then q. You'll steal 15% of resistances of all enemies hit and pull and stun all enemies for almost 2 full seconds. It's a real wombo combo.
There is so much counterplay, they never added unstoppable, your entire engage is disabled with displacement, Milio Q, Thresh flay, Ali W, any displacement cancels your W, hell ahri charm cancels. Sure you still ult but not like u cant dodge this heavily telegraphed move, especially now with W having shorter range, rell catches people off guard and punishes very well if it, but having zero counterplay is an insane thing to say.
I just had a game where I went against Lissandra, Ez+Yuumi, Kayn and Vayne top. Needless to say I wasnt able to hit one decent WR because everyone would either dash away or Vayne would E me back to where I was then I'd die. This champ still sucks even after midscope.
I'm really happy with this champ now; I've been playing so much rell since she released because I loved the vibe of the champ. But with these changes she feels like she lives up to her namesake! Love Rell so much!
They actually did change her speed when in her armor form. It used to have an ms cap, and now it only slows you by 15%, but since you can buff your movespeed while in that form, you can now go really fast.
I don't know about full AP like you did here but I can totally see her going the standard build of "tank+demonic embrace" that every tank jungler (amumu, udyr, zac) goes.
I think the ‘bonded ally’ is just the person who was near you when you used it. They’re your bonded ally for the duration of the ability
same. it's kinda funny listening to him rant about it, because i don't think that he, at 10 minutes currently, hasn't even realized you can cast it on an ally

totally correct however I think it would of been better to have it apply to items that bond (zeke's convergence, knight's vow) for her to remain a support instead of some sort of caster also could open to more bonded items since the support items don't have a hard carry the adc feel to them even if that makes them more versatile
Her R is not changed, the W has less slide which is kinda a nerf, but its actually better to finish your w faster now and land q or q w. Its just faster now
is wost for follow up but better for engage
I think the bonded ally is the one you click to use the ability (Like when you bonded an ally with the old E, but with a better effect)
when you uploaded your first rell jungle video I was hooked and even though she's not THAT good rn she's become my main in the jungle, to see her do bonus damage against monsters and have more movement speed is SO exciting, it does suck that unmounted is still slow and they removed her hard cc on her E though
only thing I'm scared of is the fact that riot said if her jungle is better than her support they'll change it which is like... why? Rell jungle and Rell mid/top is way more fun than support anyway

@@DolphR Add Statikk and Kraken, and you have yourself a nice on-hit AD/AP/AS build going. Maybe throw in a deathcap to increase the on-hit damage

Okay, now we need a Dunkmaster Rell skin...
well why not, though as a serious question, what would be the best way to morph the horse in that context, cause honestly basketball does not have anything to do with mounting, add to that, the animations use lots of sliding in and out of that form, and a new skin asks the question 'how to recontextualize all Rells elements ? (Horse, Spear, Game Visuals and Animations)', so I think it would seriously very very hard to push Rell in that direction. For example we do have like Rell pool party which takes the horse and spear and make them a dolphin and pool noodle, or star guardian recontextualizing the whole 'transformation champion' into 'yeah, that's how a magical girl works'
Now that Rell has been reworked, she will get more attention and we may get some skins at last, wonder how what Riot artists have been thinking about it :)
Maybe if I had to design a new skin, I would really try to make her horse something else, now the difficult part is indeed what to make of the horse, + the animations do sell that she wears a goddamn heavy armor. Maybe void themed ? That would make a fun skin to design, as 'is it two beings conflicted on who gets the control ? Are they in symbiosis ? Maybe it's one monstruous being shapeshifting constantly'
And here come an interesting idea ! Shapemorphing/shifting ! Maybe we could get a Dnd themed character !

I feel this moveset gives a better flavour to Rell. As a full armored knight, giving the skill a bigger weight sense while upping the damage is just logical. Is also great to renounce to the clunky tether stun in favour of the impaling new q.
Not sure if he mentioned it but ms isn't fixed when dismounted anymore. 15% less when dismounted seems much better...is similar speed to galio charging w

I'm a rell main, i love this rework. No more having to wait for the enemy to position themselves for me, no more getting mad at my apt for walking just outside of tether range. Her attack speed is finally higher than a jhin it looks like

Edit: Ok, 16:42 gave me an even greater chuckle. That's top tier comedy, at least for my sleep-deprived self.
Try Urgot with Grasp,shield bash,2nd wind,revita and overheal+bloodline. Items start cull+potion -> Phage + boots (and doran blade if needed), then heartsteel , Sterak's Cage and Titanic Hydra. That's the build there's room for 2 more items, but there's so many options it depends of the game what to add for last.
It always was sliding but now it does it faster the ult is larger also but shorter and damn that is actually gonna take her from bot and into top our jg, good changes

As a Rell support.main, im cautiously optimistic of how things will go. I never see any Rells but me, but if she's broken in the jungle, I'm afraid she's going to get gutted and that will suck.

it looks like by "bonbed ally" it means any ally that got the movespeed buff from e. when you hover over e you see a large radius. allies in that radius are "bonded".

The "w" has always slid forward after you land. So I don't think they changed it. Might be longer range than before
they should buff Rell Q to enemies to do like %Max HP or add a % Bonus HP from Rell
because in Jungle is op but only if you go AP and with Rell you need to TANK.
Those Ivern things was actually a thing in WildRift for some time now. WoldRift is just pbe 1.1 confirmed?
Also the W sliding forward was always a thing, in fact I think it now slides less
ult is not changed but is actually stronger than before since it applies passive and the passive now stacks

what if phase rush all move speed runes, you can make an argument on whats faster secondary runes relentless hunter stacks or magical footware+approach velocity, and if the team format is lucky enough to be all ad champs, you can run iceborn gauntlet, with bork, for not only the health percentage damage, but the move speed too. then you can go of a mix with cosmic drive and force of nature, normally i think she would rock with fimbulwintr and crown of shattered queen.

Definitely works well with AP items but I still feel like Jak'Sho works too well with her passive and the the whole skillset to pass it up as a mythic. Demonic into Jak'Sho into flex HP/AP/mpen might be a more consistent build.

But Cosmic Drive also got a rework, making it even better than it previously was on Cassiopeia. Rageblade also got reworked into a mythic that makes Bel'Veth's auto attack like a machine gun cannon balls instead of bullets.
omg she's finally a decent champion! What if you played her with Phase Rush and for items Cosmic Drive, Lich Bane ? after that is your preference

i never had an issue with it, you threw it on your diver to set up your w and r. Finish with q to heal some damage done on first contact.
