Very painful when their apology is always followed by the same actions of wrong doing again and again.

forgiveness doesn't say what they did is okay. It is freeing yourself and obeying GOd. Also, that we realize how much we have been forgiven is so much bigger than anything that can be done to us.

People, so rarely ask for forgiveness, even when they are completely wrong.Forgive anyway, but don't hang out with people, who are going to do you wrong again. The cycle will continue.

This message is so true. I was finally able to forgive my ex-husband a few weeks ago and honestly I cried. I started to cry before I opened my mouth to him. My tears weren't out of sadness, they were tears of JOY! I was finally able to let go of all the pain and betrayal he caused me. The weight that was lifted off of me at that moment was indescribable. If you can lay down all the bad before the Lord he'll take it all away and restore you. Truly an amazing experience. God Bless everyone!!

The hardest challenge in life is to forgive those who show no mercy, no compassion or no sympathy towards us. At least it is for me. Then I hear the Holy Spirit calmly say, “I forgave you. How can you not give what’s been given to you?”

Along my journey, I found 2types of forgiveness
    1. Drop everything and move on with that person for humankind
    2. Drop everything and move on with yourself for yourself

Forgiving others does in fact free you! I believe that this is also a reason why God wants us to be forgiving people. God does not want His people to be bonded down with hurt and pain. He wants us to be free. FREE IN HIM. This is an awesome word that I will share to others!!! Keep on forgiving :)

“Forgiveness is not excusing the behavior but forgiveness is freeing yourself from your pain of the behavior. Frees you from the bondage that the enemy wants to keep you in from the behavior.” Don’t give the enemy permission to deprive you of your peace and happiness. Everything about that makes so much sense. Forgive, not because they deserve it, but because YOU deserve peace.

Thank you for being real sister. It is only words if there are not actions. Words fall like chat. I genuinely forgave two brothers of mine that wronged me and I saw the Lord's hand come down on them very very severely. I can embrace them, treat them with love and they in return, are cordial and that's it. I have learned when people are not remorseful for their wrong doing, and show a lot of Pride and continue in that way, I Shake the Dust from my sandals and move on. I do my best to remember it is not my place to judge them. God will deal with them. Not my dime. Thanks again. PS - I am older so that came with a lot of years of practice.

I was inappropriately touched by a family member and I held on to that hurt, anger, hate, and rage for a year. It’s hard but I have forgiven him. I thought forgiving him meant I accepted it but that’s not true. Forgiveness set me free from bondage. His actions were and are his problem, not mines! It does not define me!🙏🏼

I understand girlfriend! I am feisty and it is difficult to forgive abusive Christians. I am very willing to forgive and actually melt in my heart with forgiveness when others say they are sorry. Grace overflows because I feel their motivation is repentance. It's Christians that continually use and abuse you in the church-steal, or destroys others. I do want to make a statement about pastors who preach and teach on forgiveness than repentance. For some reason, I find the culture of the American church pushing forgiveness but reluctant to teach on repentance. I have had pastors come up to me with the offender to say I need to learn forgiveness and the offender stands right there and points there finger with indignation that yes, you are not a Christian because you need to forgive me! They do not know whether or not I have forgiven them in my heart. In all the audacity, why are pastors in this culture NOT teaching more about personal responsibility, owning up to our wrongs and having a more humble repentant heart? I have done personal forgiveness for my own sake between me and the Lord but, I will not be continually abused by offenders who are protected by pastors without understanding true repentance begins in the heart of those wanting forgiveness? The Word of God states that if we truly are repenting, we will first go to the person we wronged and make amends and then, set your prayers and gifts at the alter. We need to get back to Biblical principles of God's word in preaching and teaching. Now, I just want to make note, I'm NOT talking about non-believers. That is understood. I am referring to people who are supposed to be our own brothers and sisters in Christ that are abusing the kindness of others. It is possible to have forgiveness in our hearts and then stay away from abusers in the church no matter what the abuse!!!

Of course I have never met you. Yet I share your videos on Facebook or with female friends. Today I had a female friend that was upset really really bad. And me not being a female I was sometimes not able to give her instruction on how to handle her dilemma. As far as matters close to the heart. However as soon as we hung up I got on TH-cam and there this video was. So before I even listen to it I sent it out on Facebook. To my friend and several others that are female friends. Because I'm confident in my heart and mind that the Lord God has ordains you to be a minister too women. And of course teenage girls. Anyway I didn't come here to toot my horn about sharing your videos. I came here to say thank you for standing up for the kingdom of God and taking your time to minister to so many women and me. I'm sure that I'm not the only guy that listens to your words of wisdom from the Bible. Thank you so much for being so transparent. To me transparency is what God is talking about when he says to lay your life down for one another. You could be all preachy and holier-than-thou yet you remain humble. Humble teacher good teacher

People who don't ever forgive and forget the past develop severe emotional baggage such as severe depression and some even end up schizophrenic. You end up living a life of misery and bondage. I once heard someone say : non forgiveness is like drinking poison and hoping the person who did you wrong feels the effect.

Forgiving is not always best for certain crimes. God has the power and he will judge all . I agree alot of times its hard because we are not as pure and loving as god. Forgiveness is easy with people that are repentant and realize it was wrong. By forgiving people that are not repentant you support their actions.why does god give us 10 commandments?

I used to forgive easily and freely, but what I learned is, frequently, that you should forgive but can not allow many people back into your life. They don't think the way I do. That's why they hurt me in the first place. They don't appreciate forgiveness and see it as a sign of weakness. They feel you must need them and believe they are more important. They were right in mistreating you in getting you to come back to regain their acceptance. I've encountered this in many people, including my narcissistic mother repeated this behavior over and over. I thought I was being a good daughter and Christian by forgiving, overlooking, and rising above her selfishness and cruelty. After having a stroke and saw that she had no empathy or compassion for me and refused to offer any help, and only blamed me, I learned to walk away from her. I forgive her but only from afar. Like Jesus did with the Roman soldiers who put him to death. If a person keeps stealing from your home. You can forgive them, but just don't let them back into your house.

Forgiving child preditors and making sure they are prosecuted go hand in hand. Forgiveness doesn't mean forgive and knowingly ignore sexual abuse. It means forgive them for what they did to you or your child, and aid in the cases they continue to hurt more of our little ones. Forgiveness doesn't mean let abuse happen and continue. It means help it not happen again by proceeding with legal obligations to ensure these preditors are punished legally, as well as forgiven spiritually. The victims of crimes are not the only ones who need to forgive. It is also the preditors forgiving themselves and asking God for forgiveness. We are so hard on the victims of crimes to forgive, but we need to be just as hard on the preditors. This is important even more🙏

Thank you! I have a hard time as well. I'm hurt more than anything. Even family who've wronged me. I'm working on it but it's hard. I feel like she said, if I let it continue, I'm showing them they can continue to wronged me. I've always been a ppl pleaser, but I don't was by to be taking advantage of.

Sometimes it is extremely difficult to remember our battles are spiritual in nature.

A very beautiful, necessary and eye opening message, clarifying something of tremendous importance, that I couldn't find elsewhere with so much clarity and power and with the connotation and grace it deserves and that comes with it ! Thank you so much and be always blessed!

This was me for a while and still is to some extent... ever since I've grown up my Mom has become very controlling, and she could be very mean to me before I got married. Ever since my Dad passed, our Relationship has become better, but she hasn't said sorry to me for anything. It still hurts to this day. I haven't been able to fully forgive her yet, despite God's sacrifice. Pray for me. ❤

Thank you so much for this and you know what right now I’m going through something and it’s been 5 years now
I’m finally let it go and forgive that person so much close to my heart
That person still trying to ruin my life and always destroy my heart and still trying to find a ways to destroy me but I’m a child of god and I know that person can’t harm me in anyway so few years ago I started to forgive her
And I’m so happy that I can do that and still knowing she is trying to destroy me
Your words lot to me and god bless you and keep spread good words to the world
Thank you and god bless you!
