Tumbes: it’s one of the most popular places for Peruvians to travel in Peru to go to hot weather. There, the sea is warm (unlike southern Peru) because “la corriente del niño) which is a stream passes near (near enough) and it makes the ocean warm!
Piura: it’s one of the most popular city’s in Peru. (for Peruvians cause everyone knows Piura) It produces natural gas and petrol!
Lambayeque: lambayeque suffers from water waste and there not being enough water. About 1,500 family’s in there suffer from not having water. The capital changes in lambayeque, Chiclayo, and some of my friends have houses there, and they are farms, so there are many farms there.
La libertad: The capital of it is Trujillo, and they call it the marinera (a Peruvian dance) city because it’s where most tournaments of marinera are located, and because it’s where marinera is danced the most (I used to do marinera when I was like 4!)
Ancash: Ancash has 2 special mountain ranges, and The Huarascan National park where it’s home to Andean condors and jaguars.
Lima: the capital of Peru, a very pretty city (I live there), very good food (like all Peru-)!
Ica: here, there is something called “las líneas de nazca” (the nazca lines) and they are ancient lines created between 500 b.c and 500 a.d.
Arequipa: they call Arequipa the “white city” because most of its houses are white. Also, the houses and the designs are very pretty and well made.
Moquegua: most people forget moqegua because it’s not very popular in Peru, but it has a popular city named ilo and in my opinion, it’s very nice!
Tagna: in the Peruvian and Chilean war, this department was under Chilean occupation, meaning it was Chile’s, but then it came back to Peru! (And a famous Peru historian named Jorge Basadre was born there.
